As far as CS2 maps go, Anubis is quite complicated when it comes to different hiding areas, various entrances and elevations. It is important to know all the potential danger points, especially when you’re attempting to perform a successful defense or retake of a bombsite. Having a deep knowledge of utility on Anubis is definitely something every player should strive to have. In today’s article, we’ll provide you with all the basic Anubis smoke lineups that will help you gain tactical advantage.

Throwing smokes next to the bombsite or a dangerous passage often ends up in an untimely demise, so in many cases it is much better to execute your smoke lineups from afar. Considering how complicated the map is, there are default positions from which you can safely cover the necessary spot with a smoke or two. Now that you can share your nades with your teammates, you can basically cover the entire bombsite with a few smoke grenades.

Anubis CS2 T Spawn Smoke Grenades

These two nades directly from the T Spawn block off the mid and the lower entrance from the river. Simply approach the green door at the T spawn and stand opposed to the corner, turn towards the mid and perform a jump throw at the highlighted spots to smoke off the mid and the E box.

Anubis CS2 T A Site and Mid Smokes

The key to cut off the CT players from the A side is a good Mid smoke covering the A connector. In order to do that, approach the wooden plank on the T side, turn around and jump throw a smoke above the first mini window as pictured above. If you have control over the water/boat, then you can cover the heaven and A connector directly from the water by throwing smoke grenades through the small windows on the left as pictured below. A bit of patience and 15 minutes in Practice mode and you'll be covering the entire A site in cheeky smoke grenades with ease.

Anubis CS2 T B Site Smokes

B Site smokes on the attacking side are executed via B long underneath wines where one must throw precise smoke grenades towards the B site between the columns. Three different smoke lineups can be used to cover E box, back site and street. Also, there's direct smoke nade in a separate picture below where it can cover the street and sniper for a safer passage to B site.

Anubis CS2 CT Spawn Smoke Grenades

CT side smoke grenades can be executed easily from one spot and you don't even have to move from the spawn point. At CT Spawn, simply press against the corner of the fence ledge. Having pointed in the right direction and performed the jump throw, you can cover multiple positions including: cover E box (1), middle (2), river arches (3), and A main (4).

Conclusion

By mastering these basic Anubis smokes CS2, you’ll improve your chances of executing fast pushes and plant defenses. All you need to do is to spend some time in Practice mode where you can activate the Grenade view, which allows you to see where your utility lands. In about fifteen minutes, you’ll be ready to take on every clueless Silver. Go get ‘em tiger! Also, make sure to read our comprehensive guide on jump binds and the team roles in CS2 guide.
