Content creators, analysts, and players who frequently review their matches will find the demo viewer much smoother to navigate. Key improvements include:
Download Progress Bar: Players can now easily track the download progress of their demos and replays.
Revamped Camera Controls: The camera controls have been updated to a more intuitive click-and-drag system.
Paused Camera Movement: You can now utilize both the free camera and chase camera even while the demo is paused.
Bug Fixes: Valve patched out minor glitches that occurred when seeking through different parts of a demo file.
Smoother AUG Reload Animations
In the previous update, the AUG received a half-second buff to its reload speed. To align with this faster pace, Valve has now updated the weapon's standing and crouching reload animations so they accurately match the new duration. Note that this is strictly a visual update—the AUG's damage, accuracy, and other stats remain unchanged.
Technical and Server Adjustments
The update also includes several behind-the-scenes changes for server operators and map makers:
Round Backups: Server operators who want to utilize round backup files must now explicitly launch their servers with the -allow_round_backup_files flag.
Radio Commands: Valve has introduced a strict list of permitted radio commands.
Workshop Tools: A new tool material, toolsskybox_occluder, has been added for developers using the CS2 Workshop Tools.
Performance: The patch brings general stability improvements for the Vulkan renderer.
