The Bayonet | Slaughter is a beautiful abstract knife with intricate patterns that change depending on the index number. The Slaughter finish design is instantly recognizable, giving off that psychedelic vibe combined with brutal red on red colorway. The Bayonet version of the Slaughter finish is distinctive due to the tactical green handle and a slew of unique patterns specific to this knife.

Avid collectors know that as with many other pattern-based knife finishes, the Slaughter is known for having distinct patterns that stand out more and tend to command slight overpay compared to regular versions. Even though the Slaughter finish is already established and quite old, the hunt for the perfect pattern never ends, as the knife stays relevant and desirable to this day. Compared to some other knives, such as the Butterfly Knife, where it’s kind of hard to discern different textures on the blade, the Bayonet provides a perfect canvas for the intricate patterns the Slaughter finish has to offer. In our guide, we’ll walk you through all the best Bayonet Slaughter patterns in CS2.

What Makes the Bayonet Slaughter so Special?

The Bayonet | Slaughter is an oldie, having been present for already more than 13 years – added on August 14th, 2013 within the Arms Deal update. The design of the knife combines the tactical look of the legendary combat knife with an intricate texture reminiscent of the Rorschach test on the blood-red backdrop. A deep red layer underneath is adorned by a coat of light red paint that forms these psychedelic-like textures. Depending on the pattern index, these lines and shades form something similar to diamonds, hearts and other cute shapes.

We should also mention that the Bayonet Slaughter only exists in three conditions – Factory New, Minimal Wear and Field-Tested. Compared to other skins and knives in Field-Tested condition, the Slaughter looks significantly more worn-out compared to its counterparts. The majority of Field-Tested “Slaughters” has at least one side of the blade with heavily chipped paint. Now that we got that out of the way, let’s take a closer look at some of the most popular Bayonet Slaughter patterns.

The Bayonet Slaughter Pattern Tier List

We should preface that these aren’t the officially dubbed patterns, but rather what community has come up during the illustrious years of CS:GO era. Due to the abstract nature of the Slaughter texture, players made up a hierarchy of the desirable patterns that resemble some shapes. The fact that the Bayonet’s blade is so long and wide made it possible for some patterns to have repeated elements present on one blade, creating incredibly rare combos. Here are the most desirable Bayonet Slaughter patterns.

Centered Diamond & Double Heart Patterns

These patterns command the highest overpay and are generally the most desirable Bayonet Slaughter patterns. These patterns feature a gorgeous Diamond planted dead in the center of the blade, surrounded by two Heart shapes from both sides.

  • Tier 1 Patterns: 2, 32, 566, 753, 765, 916, 996

  • Other Noteworthy Patterns: 129, 285, 303, 592, 754, 828

Centered Diamond and Heart Patterns

A little less remarkable than the Double Heart combo, but are still extremely desirable patterns. The Tier 1 Diamond and Heart patterns feature a diamond shape perfectly aligned to the cavity in the blade. These still command a significant overpay and are highly regarded.

  • Tier 1 Patterns: 37, 120, 290, 335, 402, 666, 693, 727, 881

Double Diamond Patterns

The Double Diamond patterns are similar to the regular centered diamond and double heart patterns, with the only difference being the presence of another diamond. Well, at least a portion of it, as it is not fully visible even in the best T1 patterns.

  • Tier 1 Patterns: 90, 124, 652

  • Other Noteworthy Patterns: 216, 280, 331, 385, 447, 699, 846, 959

Bonus

There is a rare Dog Bone pattern that underwent some changes when transferring to CS2. However, if you happen to snipe the pattern #19, you’ll have something unique in your inventory.

  • Tier 1 Pattern: 19

Summary

The Bayonet | Slaughter is a true classic when it comes to knives in our favorite game. Only a keen eye or an experienced skin trader will tell you that these knife finishes are older than some of the rising talents on Faceit. The color scheme is complimented by the large canvas in a form of the Bayonet’s blade. We sure hope you find the best Slaughter pattern for your loadout on Skin.Land, a place where you can inspect every knife and other CS2-related customization items, and buy them securely without waiting for the annoying trade window to end. Also, make sure to read our Butterfly Knife Slaughter guide as well.
