Back in December, Valve challenged Workshop artists to hit the gas and submit their best designs inspired by motorsports, speed, and car culture. The checkered flag has finally waved with the massive Armory update, officially dropping the Auto Racing Collection into Counter-Strike 2.

If you’re ready to trick out your loadout with some high-octane crafts, we’re breaking down the entire collection, highlighting the coolest hidden Easter eggs, and showing you which stickers have the absolute best scraping effects.

Hidden Easter Eggs & Pop Culture References

CS2 sticker artists love to hide secrets in their designs, and the Auto Racing collection is no exception. Here are the coolest references you might have missed at first glance:

Neo-Hold (Holo) & Neo-Rush (Holo)

If these two Holos look familiar, you’re probably a fan of classic 80s anime. The designs for Neo-Hold and Neo-Rush are direct homages to the iconic poster for the legendary sci-fi anime Akira.

Defusal Sprint

This one is hiding in plain sight. Take a closer look at the winding race track on the Defusal Sprint sticker. The trajectory from start to finish perfectly outlines the silhouette of a classic Counter-Strike chicken.

Killometer

This sticker aggressively flashes "NEED FOR ACE." While obviously a nod to the Need for Speed gaming franchise, it actually goes deeper. The phrase "Need for Speed" was coined by 1970s fighter pilots and popularized by the movie Top Gun—meaning you have to keep your speed up to survive a dogfight. In CS2, the message is exactly the same: keep your momentum high if you want to secure that ace.

Digital Dashboard (Lenticular)

It's a subtle nod for the gearheads, but the speedometer data used on the Digital Dashboard sticker matches the legendary McLaren F1 GTR—the same iconic car that took first place at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The Best Auto Racing Stickers for Scraping

Half the fun of a new sticker capsule is finding out what happens when you scrape them. The Auto Racing collection has some fantastic hidden layers:

  • Roentgen Raceclub: Scrape this one down and you’ll reveal the text "Not great, not terrible." This is a hilarious nod to Anatoly Dyatlov’s infamous line from the HBO miniseries Chernobyl.

  • Clean Borders: If you want a clean, borderless look for your crafts, six stickers in this set scrape perfectly to remove their outer edges: Digital Dashboard, NITRO!, Eco Mode, Engine Start, Cone Zone, and W Performance Tires.

  • Bomb On Board: Scraping this completely removes the text and the yellow background, leaving behind a standalone C4 explosive icon.

  • Handheld (Lenticular): Erase this sticker and the plastic console casing disappears, leaving only the retro racing game screen.

  • Checkered Kukri: Scrape it down to reveal the silhouette of a knife alongside a checkered flag and the words "LAST LAP".

  • Neo-Hold & Neo-Rush: Erasing these removes the background entirely, leaving just the cyberpunk racing car.

  • Turbo Peek (Foil): The text wears away entirely, leaving just the NOS toggle switch.

  • Lucky Charms (Foil): Scrape it to the max and all that remains is a single car key and half of a key ring.

  • Sand Dune Baja Tour: The desert background fades out, leaving just the checkered tire tracks on your weapon.

How to Get Auto Racing Stickers in CS2

Right now, the Auto Racing stickers are locked behind the new Armory Pass system. You can spend your earned Armory stars to roll for a random sticker from the collection. However, just like opening capsules, you're at the mercy of RNG—you can't just pick the exact sticker you want.
