The Five-SeveN | Heat Treated is often regarded as one of the best Five-SeveN, providing players with a gorgeous alternative to the legendary Case Hardened finish, also available for this pistol. The Heat Treated version is considerably more affordable, with a similar pattern mechanic that changes the look of the gun depending on the pattern seed number. You might also be familiar with this finish if you were farming stars in the Armory grind when the Heat Treated Desert Eagle first hit the CS2. If you’re a huge fan of gunsmithing practices such as quenching, then the Heat Treated is the one skin to buy. Considering how big of a difference the pattern number makes with the Case Hardened Five-SeveN, the same applies to the Heat Treated version. In today’s guide, we will provide you with the best Five-SeveN Heat Treated patterns and how to discern them.

How Heat Treated Patterns Work

Similarly to Case Hardened Skins, the Heat Treated finish consists of a large sheet of texture that is meant to resemble a quenched piece of metal with various degrees of applied heat. The pattern seed number dictates the look of every skin, ranging from 0 to 1000. As a general rule, the way the Heat Treated patterns are ranked is quite similar to Case Hardened finish:

  • Blue: The dominance of blue signifies the highest value. The pattern with the most amount of blue is called “Blue Gem”.

  • Purple: These patterns tend to have less amount of blue, overshadowed by rich purple tones that usually come in patches and border with golden elements.

  • Gold & Grey: The standard base colors of the heat-treatment process. Patterns dominated by gold and grey are considered market price.

The patterns with the most blue coverage command the highest prices. The Blue Gems are considerably more expensive and harder to find, driving collector demand. However, don’t forget that in general the Heat Treated FIve-SeveN skins are way cheaper than their Case Hardened counterparts. Anyway, here’s our Heat Treated Five-SeveN patterns tier list.

The Blue Gem Tier List

Collectors and players rank all Heat Treated patterns based on the total amount of blue covering the pattern area. In Five-SeveN’s case, it is only the weapon's slide, while Deagle, for example, is covered entirely due to a full-metal construction. We’ve separated the true Blue Gems that are considered to be the absolute best options on the market from the lower value better than average options ranked by tiers. If you are hunting for a Blue Gem, check your pattern seed against this tier list.
