★ M9 Bayonet | Slaughter (Field-Tested)
The ★ M9 Bayonet | Slaughter (Field-Tested) is a Covert ★ knife finish carrying a zebra-stripe base under a tomato red candy coat. Field-Tested is the most worn grade this finish reaches, giving the red spatter a slightly duller, more textured look than the top two grades.
Design
Under the surface sits a zebra-stripe pattern in aluminum and chrome paints of differing reflectivity, topped with a tomato red candy coat that lets bits of that base flash through. The flavor line attached to it reads "Valeria doesn't pay Javier to ask questions... she pays him to pry out answers."
★ M9 Bayonet | Slaughter (Field-Tested) Float and Wear
Slaughter's float only stretches from 0.01 to 0.26, so Field-Tested marks the bottom of the ladder for this finish rather than a heavily aged grade — a full-range skin at this float would look far rougher than this knife ever does. The candy red coat here reads a shade duller and less glossy than Factory New or Minimal Wear, but nowhere near a battered look. On the float scale, Field-Tested spans 0.15–0.26.
M9 Bayonet | Slaughter Rarity
Rarity: Covert ★, the gold-tier rare special ("knife") slot that ranks above every ordinary weapon grade a case can drop. That rarity sits with the tier itself, not with which exterior a given copy lands on.
M9 Bayonet | Slaughter Case and Collection
This finish belongs to no single collection — it's an original knife design pulled from a wide spread of cases, including the CS:GO Weapon Case and the Revolver Case among others. The rare-special tier overall drops at around 0.26% per case opening, so buying on the market beats waiting on an unbox for most players.
M9 Bayonet | Slaughter Patterns
The red spatter's shape comes down to the paint seed, and that holds true at every wear grade including this one. A clean, centered heart or a tight cluster is the pattern buyers chase, and it sells at a premium over a scattered spread regardless of float. Since the pattern is locked in at generation and never moves with wear, a Field-Tested copy with a great seed can still be more desirable than a cleaner-float piece with a poor one.
StatTrak & Souvenir
A StatTrak™ version tracks confirmed kills permanently and carries that count through any future trade or sale. There's no Souvenir version — knives are never handed out in Major-tournament souvenir packages, no matter the case or collection behind them.
M9 Bayonet | Slaughter Price
Field-Tested lands at the bottom of Slaughter's own price ladder as its most worn and most accessible grade, while the finish overall still sits mid-tier among this knife's lineup. Pattern quality can move an individual listing well beyond the baseline for its wear. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Is Field-Tested the worst-looking grade for the M9 Bayonet Slaughter?
It's the most worn grade available, since the finish caps out at a 0.26 float, but that's a mild wear level overall — the red candy coat just reads a touch duller than on Factory New or Minimal Wear, not rough or damaged.
Does pattern matter more than wear on the Slaughter?
Often, yes. A clean, centered heart or tight cluster pattern carries a real premium over a scattered spread at any wear grade, since the seed is fixed for life while wear only changes gloss. A well-patterned Field-Tested can be more desirable than a poorly patterned Minimal Wear.
Is the M9 Bayonet Slaughter worth buying at Field-Tested?
It's a reasonable way into this finish since it sits at the bottom of Slaughter's own price ladder while still carrying the same red candy coat and pattern chase as the pricier grades. The knife itself remains a premium item either way, just the most accessible entry point for this particular finish.
