What the StatTrak™ counter does

The ★ StatTrak™ Bayonet | Case Hardened (Minimal Wear, MW) is the StatTrak™ copy of this skin — the same Covert ★ finish, the same look, with a kill counter built into the model. This blade gets its look from color case-hardening with wood charcoal at high heat, producing an irregular blue, gold, and steel mix rather than a painted graphic. Minimal Wear covers 0.07–0.15 on the float scale, a step below Factory New, with wear that stays hard to spot at a glance.

What StatTrak™ changes about the price of the Bayonet | Case Hardened

Every confirmed kill with this weapon adds one to the number printed on the model. The count lives on the item rather than the account, which is why it survives trades and sales intact — and why it can never be wound back down. A StatTrak™ Swap Tool moves a count between two StatTrak™ items of the same type, which is as close to a reset as the game allows.

Where a StatTrak™ copy comes from

Expect to pay more than for the plain version: StatTrak™ copies are much thinner on the ground at any given finish and exterior. The premium tracks the skin itself, not the counter — buyers pay for the finish and the float, and a big number adds little.

FAQ

As one of the original knife finishes, Case Hardened has shown up across a long list of cases instead of just one, with the CS:GO Weapon Case and Operation Phoenix Weapon Case among the more recognizable sources. StatTrak™ is settled at the drop: a copy either leaves the case with a counter or never has one, and it cannot be added afterwards.

Can the StatTrak counter on the Bayonet | Case Hardened be reset?

No. The count only moves one way and stays with the item through every trade and sale. A StatTrak™ Swap Tool moves a count between two StatTrak™ items of the same type, which is as close to a reset as the game allows. It still cannot lower the number.

Does StatTrak change how the Bayonet | Case Hardened looks?

No, apart from the counter on the model. The finish, the pattern and the float range are identical to the plain version, so at the same exterior the two look the same in hand.
