AK-47 | Elite Build (Field-Tested)
The AK-47 | Elite Build (Field-Tested) is a Mil-Spec rifle skin with an orange-and-gray mechanical build styled after exposed hardware. Field-Tested is the most common and most affordable way to own it, adding a bit of honest wear to a design that still reads clearly in-game — the go-to for budget buyers.
Design
The finish dresses the AK in a stripped-down mechanical style — orange and gray components arranged to look like exposed hardware and plating rather than a painted graphic. It was custom painted through a combination of hydrographics and careful stenciling and then detailed with heat-transfer decals, a community design from the artist M1nDᵈᵉˢᶥᶢᶰˢ. It carries the in-game line: "Tread softly Naomi...people in your line of work aren't known for their longevity."
AK-47 | Elite Build (Field-Tested) Float and Wear
At Field-Tested the finish shows light scratching along the edges and on the magazine, with a little of the gray plating scuffed, but the orange accents stay bright and the overall build reads clean from playing distance. This is the grade most players end up with, and it's the sweet spot between a decent look and the lowest possible cost.
AK-47 | Elite Build Rarity
The rarity is Mil-Spec Grade, the blue tier — the bottom rung of the standard weapon grades pulled from cases. Being the most common rarity band is a big part of why this skin is so cheap.
AK-47 | Elite Build Case and Collection
Part of The Chroma 2 Collection, Elite Build comes from the Chroma 2 Case released in the April 2015 update. It's the most common Mil-Spec pull from that case at about 79.92% of the blue-tier drops, which keeps supply plentiful and makes copies easy to buy on the market instead of unboxing them.
AK-47 | Elite Build Patterns
There's no random pattern variation on Elite Build; the orange-and-gray build is placed identically on each copy, leaving no paint seed or "blue gem" to look for. Wear and float are all that distinguish one from the next.
StatTrak & Souvenir
A StatTrak™ version of the Elite Build does exist, adding a confirmed-kill counter; it drops from the Chroma 2 Case as a scarcer, more expensive item than the standard skin, and the counter is permanent, carrying across trades and sales. There's no Souvenir edition, though — Souvenirs come solely from Major-tournament souvenir packages, and this skin has never featured at a Major.
AK-47 | Elite Build Price
Field-Tested is the value heart of the range — cheaper than Minimal Wear while keeping the build easily recognizable, which makes it one of the most affordable AK skins you can buy. If you want the orange-and-gray look for as little as possible while still getting a presentable finish, this is it. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Does the Field-Tested Elite Build look worn?
Only mildly. Field-Tested brings light edge scratching and a touch of scuffing on the gray plating, but the bright orange accents and the overall mechanical build stay clear from normal playing distance. It's the most common grade and reads as perfectly presentable in-game, which is why so many players pick it.
Which gloves go with the AK-47 | Elite Build?
Its orange-and-gray industrial palette suits a warm, utility-styled loadout, so orange or tan gloves pick up the accents nicely, while gray or black wraps lean into the mechanical, hardware look. Pair it with other orange-accented gear to tie a matching set together.
Is Field-Tested the cheapest Elite Build?
It's among the cheapest, though Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred can undercut it slightly. Field-Tested is the popular pick because it costs very little yet still looks clean, whereas the lower grades trade more visible wear for marginal savings. For most buyers it's the best balance of price and appearance.
