AK-47 | Neon Rider (Well-Worn)
The AK-47 | Neon Rider (Well-Worn) is a Covert rifle skin with a synthwave, '80s-arcade design — glowing pink and teal over black geometric shapes, a helmeted biker on the magazine and receiver, and a neon starburst sunset — here in a more battle-worn state. It's a cheaper route into one of the game's flashiest AK finishes, with the neon reading more muted than on the cleaner grades.
Design
Pure '80s synthwave, Neon Rider layers hot pink and magenta against teal and cyan with deep purple over black geometric shapes, and a helmeted biker rides the magazine and receiver ringed by a neon starburst sunset, with the muzzle and controls sunk in deep violet. The community design comes from Puffin, SIR, and Medic!, and it carries a fitting in-game line: "Two parts Trapper Keeper, three parts synthesizer."
AK-47 | Neon Rider (Well-Worn) Float and Wear
At Well-Worn the finish shows clear scuffing and paint loss across the magazine, receiver, and edges, and the neon glow reads noticeably dimmer since it's at its brightest only on low-float copies. The biker and starburst survive as the anchors that keep the skin recognizable, but there's no hiding that this is a worn grade. For players who care about price over maximum glow, this grade delivers the same iconic design for less.
AK-47 | Neon Rider Rarity
Rarity: Covert — the red tier, the top grade a standard weapon skin can reach. Covert AKs are chased hardest of all, and Neon Rider belongs firmly in that bracket.
AK-47 | Neon Rider Case and Collection
Part of The Horizon Collection, the AK-47 | Neon Rider comes from the Horizon Case that launched with the "A New Horizon" update in August 2018. The Covert tier overall drops about 0.64% of the time from the case — by far the rarest pull the box offers — so the market, not unboxing, is where most copies come from.
AK-47 | Neon Rider Patterns
No random pattern variation applies to the AK-47 | Neon Rider — every copy places the biker, the neon starburst, and the geometric shapes the same way, so there's no paint seed or "blue gem" to hunt. What tells one Neon Rider from another comes down to wear and float.
StatTrak & Souvenir
A StatTrak™ AK-47 | Neon Rider does exist and adds a confirmed-kill counter; it drops from the Horizon Case as a rarer and pricier variant than the standard skin, and its permanent counter carries over whenever the item is traded or sold. There's no Souvenir variant — Souvenir weapons are produced only for Major-tournament souvenir packages, and Neon Rider was never part of a Major drop.
AK-47 | Neon Rider Price
Well-Worn sits near the bottom of the Neon Rider ladder, below Field-Tested and above only Battle-Scarred — a budget route to the design for players who won't pay the mid-grade premium. It's one of the cheaper ways to get a genuine Neon Rider into your loadout. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
How worn does Well-Worn actually look?
Noticeably. Expect visible scratches and paint thinning on the magazine and around the edges, and a dimmer glow than the cleaner grades, since the neon is brightest at low float. It's more worn than Field-Tested but short of the heavy battering of Battle-Scarred, and the biker and starburst keep it clearly recognizable as a Neon Rider.
Is Well-Worn worth buying over Field-Tested?
Only if price is your priority. Field-Tested keeps the neon looking noticeably brighter for a modest step up in cost, so most buyers prefer it. Well-Worn makes sense when you want the Neon Rider design as cheaply as possible without dropping all the way to Battle-Scarred and its most muted glow.
Which gloves go with the AK-47 | Neon Rider?
Its neon-on-black palette suits a bright, high-contrast synthwave loadout, so gloves with pink, teal, or purple accents work best — a cyan or magenta pair echoes the starburst, while dark wraps with neon detailing keep the '80s-arcade vibe. Pair it with other vivid, colorful skins rather than muted ones for a cohesive look.
