AK-47 | Wasteland Rebel (Field-Tested)
The AK-47 | Wasteland Rebel (Field-Tested) is a Covert rifle skin with a distressed, spray-stencil post-apocalyptic finish in orange and black over bare metal. Field-Tested is the most common and accessible way to own it — some honest wear on a design that was already built to look battle-worn, for well under the cleaner grades.
Design
The finish has been distressed, block printed, and sprayed with graffiti, giving Wasteland Rebel a rugged, dystopian character built from orange and black stencils over bare metal. It's the work of community artist SA_22, and a survival-themed in-game line rides with it: "One day they will ask why we fight, and when they do they will understand."
AK-47 | Wasteland Rebel (Field-Tested) Float and Wear
At Field-Tested the finish shows light scratching along the edges and on the magazine, but because the finish is designed to look grimy in the first place, the added wear reads as part of the look rather than a flaw. The orange stencils and block print stay clearly legible. This is the grade most players end up with — the balance point between price and appearance.
AK-47 | Wasteland Rebel Rarity
Covert is the rarity: the red tier, the highest grade for standard weapon skins, sitting one rung above Classified. Because Covert is the rarest kind of skin you can unbox, this finish keeps the value it does.
AK-47 | Wasteland Rebel Case and Collection
This finish sits in The Vanguard Collection and is unboxed from the Operation Vanguard Weapon Case, released with Operation Vanguard back in November 2014. About 0.64% of that case's drops are Covert items, and with the case long gone from the active drop pool, its supply is capped — buyers mostly source copies from the market rather than unboxing.
AK-47 | Wasteland Rebel Patterns
Wasteland Rebel doesn't roll a random pattern: the block print and graffiti stencils are placed identically on each copy, leaving no paint seed or "blue gem" to hunt. What separates copies is purely wear and float.
StatTrak & Souvenir
You can find a StatTrak™ edition with a confirmed-kill counter; it too drops from the Operation Vanguard Weapon Case, as a rarer and pricier pull than the normal skin, and its counter is permanent, traveling with the item when it's traded or sold. There's no Souvenir edition, since Souvenir weapons issue only from Major-tournament souvenir packages, and this skin's case was never part of a Major drop.
AK-47 | Wasteland Rebel Price
Field-Tested is the value entry point into the finish for most players — noticeably cheaper than Minimal Wear while keeping the design fully readable. It's still a high-end, grail-tier Covert AK, so even at this grade it's a serious pickup rather than a cheap skin. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Does the Field-Tested Wasteland Rebel look worn?
Only mildly, and it suits the skin. The finish is meant to look distressed, so the light edge scratching a Field-Tested copy adds folds right into the grimy, post-apocalyptic design rather than standing out as damage. The orange stencils and block print stay sharp, so the skin looks the part at a glance in-game.
Is Field-Tested the best value AK-47 | Wasteland Rebel?
For most buyers, yes. It costs a good deal less than Minimal Wear and Factory New while keeping the design fully legible, thanks to a finish that was built to look weathered. Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred are cheaper still if you want the lowest entry price and don't mind heavier scuffing on top.
Which gloves go with the AK-47 | Wasteland Rebel?
Its orange-and-black, rusted palette suits a warm, gritty loadout, so orange, brown, or black gloves fit best — an orange or tan pair echoes the stencil work, while black wraps lean into the grimy, post-apocalyptic vibe. Earthy, worn-looking gloves match the survival theme better than anything bright or clean.
