AUG | Sand Storm (Factory New)

AUG | Sand Storm (Factory New)

The AUG | Sand Storm (Factory New) is a Restricted rifle skin depicting a rolling sand storm rendered in desert-brown tones under a night sky. Factory New shows that scene at its cleanest, before any float pushes the surface toward a worn look.

Design

Valve built this one around a custom paint job of a sand storm sweeping across a darkened sky, a moody, atmospheric scene rather than a graphic pattern. It carries the flavor line: "There is beauty all around us, you just have to know where to look."

AUG | Sand Storm (Factory New) Float and Wear

The Sand Storm's float runs from 0.00 to 0.50, and Factory New sits right at the bottom of that band. At this grade the brown tones and night-sky gradient look their most vivid, with no scuffing to break up the scene.

AUG | Sand Storm Rarity

Rarity: Restricted — the purple tier, one step above the common Mil-Spec grade and below Classified and Covert. It's a genuinely uncommon finish to come across.

AUG | Sand Storm Case and Collection

This finish is part of The 2021 Mirage Collection, which arrived with Operation Riptide in September 2021. It doesn't drop from a weapon case — collection skins like this one are picked up through map-collection drops or trade-up contracts using other Mirage Collection items, or simply bought on the market.

AUG | Sand Storm Patterns

The sand storm scene is fixed on every copy — there's no paint seed that changes where the clouds or gradient sit, so there's no "blue gem" variant to search for. Wear and float are what separate one copy from the next.

StatTrak & Souvenir

There's no StatTrak version of the AUG | Sand Storm. It does exist as a Souvenir finish, first handed out in the Stockholm 2021 Mirage Souvenir Package, with later Major souvenir packages adding more copies to the pool over time — alongside the regular version sold here.

AUG | Sand Storm Price

Factory New commands the top price on the Sand Storm's own ladder, reflecting the cleanest possible view of the scene. The finish overall sits in the premium bracket for the AUG, a step up from the model's budget options. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.

FAQ

Is Factory New worth paying extra for on the Sand Storm?

If you want the sand storm scene as vivid as possible, yes — Factory New avoids any scuffing that could dull the gradient. Minimal Wear looks close behind it, so the premium mainly appeals to buyers chasing the lowest float number available.

Does the AUG | Sand Storm have a Souvenir version?

Yes. Souvenir copies first appeared in the Stockholm 2021 Mirage Souvenir Package, and later Major souvenir packages have added more since. The Souvenir tag exists alongside the regular finish sold here, but there is no StatTrak version of this skin.

What are the best gloves for the AUG | Sand Storm?

Its desert-brown palette pairs naturally with earthy tones, so the best AUG Sand Storm glove combo leans on tan, brown, or sandy-colored gloves. A darker, muted pair also works if you'd rather keep the loadout understated.
