AUG | Storm (Factory New)
The AUG | Storm (Factory New) is a Consumer Grade rifle skin with individual parts spray-painted in solid, stormy grays and blues. Factory New is the sharpest this understated finish gets, with every panel showing its full, unblemished color block.
Design
Storm keeps things simple: separate sections of the AUG are each painted a flat, muted color pulled from a stormy palette, with no logos or graphics layered on top. It's a Valve-made finish, and it carries the flavor line "It will be waiting for you at the monorail."
AUG | Storm (Factory New) Float and Wear
Storm runs from a float of 0.06 up to 0.80, so Factory New sits right at the bottom of that range. At this grade the solid color blocks read completely flat and even, with no scuffing to break up the paint. Anyone chasing the cleanest possible copy of this finish wants Factory New.
AUG | Storm Rarity
Rarity: Consumer Grade, the most common tier in the game's ranking system. It's an entry-level rarity, which keeps this finish accessible rather than a chase item.
AUG | Storm Case and Collection
The Storm belongs to The Lake Collection, which arrived with the "Out with the old, in with the new" update in November 2013. It was never packaged into an active weapon case, so copies reach the market through trading and past Major souvenir drops rather than case openings.
AUG | Storm Patterns
There's no pattern roll on the Storm — the solid color blocks land the same way on every copy, so there's no paint seed or "blue gem" version to look for. Float and wear are the only variables that separate one copy from another.
StatTrak & Souvenir
No StatTrak version of this finish exists. It does come as a Souvenir, first handed out in the DreamHack 2013 Souvenir Package and later included in additional Major souvenir packages over the years; Souvenir copies carry a tournament stamp but no kill counter, and the standard finish reviewed here is the regular, non-Souvenir version.
AUG | Storm Price
Factory New tops the Storm's price ladder as its highest, most polished grade — a premium pick within this finish's own range, even though the finish itself is a Consumer Grade rifle skin. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Is the Factory New Storm worth the extra cost?
If you want the flattest, most even color blocks the finish offers, yes — Factory New shows zero scuffing. If a very light texture doesn't bother you, Minimal Wear looks nearly identical for less, so the premium here is mostly about having the top listed grade.
Why is a Consumer Grade skin priced as premium?
Rarity tier and market price track different things. Storm never had its own weapon case, so supply is fixed to what's already in circulation from old souvenir drops and trades, which keeps demand-driven prices higher than a typical Consumer Grade finish despite the entry-level rarity.
Does the Storm have a Souvenir version?
Yes. It was first issued in the DreamHack 2013 Souvenir Package and has appeared in further Major souvenir packages since. Souvenir copies add a tournament tag to the same look, while this page covers the standard, non-Souvenir finish.
