AWP | Black Nile (Battle-Scarred)

The AWP | Black Nile (Battle-Scarred) is a Mil-Spec sniper skin in gray with a topographical line pattern, shown in its most heavily worn condition. It's the cheapest way into the understated map-themed AWP, trading surface condition for the lowest entry price.

Design

The design on Black Nile keeps things subtle: fine contour lines running over a gray base in a map-like, Egyptian- and Nile-inspired style. Made by community artist SayChains, it favors quiet line detail over bright color, and it comes with a fitting in-game line: "Bleed between the lines."

AWP | Black Nile (Battle-Scarred) Float and Wear

At Battle-Scarred the finish wears its damage openly — heavy scratching and paint loss spread across the body, and the gray thins so the contour lines start to break up. The topographical pattern survives as the anchor that keeps the skin recognizable. This finish is float-capped at 0.75, so it stops short of the most extreme end of the scale, and the map-like design stays legible even at its roughest.

AWP | Black Nile Rarity

Rarity: Mil-Spec Grade, the blue tier — the base grade of standard-quality weapon skins and the most common one on the ladder. That keeps Black Nile an accessible, affordable finish rather than a scarce chase.

AWP | Black Nile Case and Collection

Black Nile is one of The Anubis Collection's Mil-Spec finishes, sitting in the most common tier — a grade that appears roughly 79.92% of the time, a rate shared across the tier. The collection has no standard weapon case behind it; copies reach players via Anubis souvenir packages and the open market.

AWP | Black Nile Patterns

Black Nile carries no random pattern variation at all — the topographical lines sit identically on each copy, meaning there's no paint seed or "blue gem" to seek out. Wear and float are all that distinguish one copy from another.

StatTrak & Souvenir

You won't find a StatTrak Black Nile — StatTrak weapons are generated only inside weapon cases, and this finish isn't part of one. A Souvenir edition does exist: Major-tournament souvenir packages are the source of Souvenir weapons, and Black Nile first appeared in the Paris 2023 Anubis Souvenir Package.

AWP | Black Nile Price

Battle-Scarred is the cheapest grade of the skin — the entry-level way to run the Black Nile design for players who care more about the look than the condition. On a finish that's already a budget AWP, it's about as low as the price goes. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.

FAQ

Is Battle-Scarred still recognizable?

Yes. Despite the heavy scuffing, the gray base and topographical contour lines keep the design readable at a glance in-game. Battle-Scarred is about accepting visible wear in exchange for the lowest price, not losing the map-like look entirely, and the muted palette hides damage better than many bright finishes would.

Why doesn't Battle-Scarred look completely trashed?

Because the finish is float-capped at 0.75 rather than the full 1.0, its copies never reach the most extreme wear. Combined with a muted gray base that masks damage, Black Nile stays more legible at its roughest than many lighter or more colorful skins do.

Which gloves go with the Black Nile?

Its muted gray, map-like palette suits a neutral, earthy loadout, so gray, black, or sand-toned gloves work best — a gray or black pair keeps the understated feel, while sandy wraps play up the skin's Nile and desert theme. Low-key wraps let the subtle pattern lead the loadout.
