AWP | BOOM (Factory New)

AWP | BOOM (Factory New)

The AWP | BOOM (Factory New) is a Classified sniper skin — a comic-style "BOOM" explosion graphic splashed across a bright orange body. Factory New is the top grade the finish reaches, showing the pop-art blast and its onomatopoeia lettering at their sharpest against an unmarked base.

Design

BOOM leans hard into comic-book energy: a hydrographic of comic onomatopoeia is printed over an orange base coat, so a cartoon explosion and its bold lettering wrap the body like a panel torn from a comic. It's a Valve in-house design, and the loud pop-art treatment makes it one of the more playful, high-visibility finishes in the AWP lineup.

AWP | BOOM (Factory New) Float and Wear

The finish is float-capped at 0.28, so it tops out at Field-Tested and never reaches Well-Worn or Battle-Scarred. Factory New is the highest grade of the three, and here the orange base reads vivid and even while the explosion graphic stays crisp with no scuffing to soften its edges. For anyone who wants the design exactly as intended, this is the grade to reach for.

AWP | BOOM Rarity

Rarity: Classified — the pink tier, second from the top of the standard weapon grades and sitting just below Covert. It's a genuinely uncommon grade to pull from a case.

AWP | BOOM Case and Collection

BOOM belongs to The eSports 2013 Collection and is unboxed from the eSports 2013 Case. Across that case the Classified tier drops at roughly 3.2% (a rate shared among the tier's skins), and with the case long out of the active drop pool, supply is fixed — most copies change hands on the market rather than getting unboxed.

AWP | BOOM Patterns

This finish has no random pattern variation — the explosion graphic and its lettering sit identically on every copy, so there's no paint seed or blue gem to chase. Wear and float are the only things that set one example apart from another.

StatTrak & Souvenir

A StatTrak™ AWP | BOOM exists — it came from the eSports 2013 Case and adds a confirmed-kill counter that tracks permanently, carrying over when the item is traded or sold. There's no Souvenir version: Souvenir weapons are handed out only through Major-tournament souvenir packages, and this skin has never been part of one.

AWP | BOOM Price

Factory New sits at the top of the finish's price ladder as the highest grade available — a clear step above Field-Tested, a premium AWP pick that still stops short of grail money. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.

FAQ

Is Factory New worth it over the lower grades?

It depends how much the top condition matters to you. Factory New shows the orange base at its most vivid and the explosion lettering with the sharpest edges, which suits a loud comic-book skin like this one. That said, a Minimal Wear copy looks close for less, so pay up mainly if you want the finish exactly as designed.

Who designed the AWP BOOM?

It's an in-house Valve design, not a community Workshop submission. It arrived as part of The eSports 2013 Collection, and its comic onomatopoeia motif — a literal cartoon blast printed over orange — makes it one of the more distinctive early AWP finishes rather than a realistic camo or metallic look.

Which gloves go with BOOM?

Its bright orange base wants a warm, high-energy loadout, so orange, tan, or brown gloves land best — a warm pair picks up the base color while keeping the playful pop-art vibe. If you want contrast instead, black wraps let the explosion graphic pop as the loudest thing on screen.
