AWP | BOOM (Field-Tested)
The AWP | BOOM (Field-Tested) is a Classified sniper skin with a comic-style explosion graphic set over a bright orange body, here in its most worn available state. It's the most affordable way into this loud pop-art AWP, with light wear the busy design largely shrugs off.
Design
At its core the finish is an orange base coat overprinted with a hydrographic of comic onomatopoeia — a cartoon explosion and its bold lettering wrapping the body like a page from a comic. It's a Valve in-house creation, and that playful, graphic-forward treatment makes it one of the most eye-catching finishes across the whole AWP catalog.
AWP | BOOM (Field-Tested) Float and Wear
Field-Tested is the most worn grade the finish offers, since it's float-capped at 0.28 and never rolls into Well-Worn or Battle-Scarred. At this level light scratching appears along the edges and on the scope, but the busy explosion graphic and vivid orange base keep the skin reading strong at a glance. The cap means even here the design stays legible rather than heavily battered.
AWP | BOOM Rarity
Rarity: Classified, the pink tier. It ranks directly below Covert as the second-highest of the standard weapon grades, and it's a genuinely uncommon grade to unbox.
AWP | BOOM Case and Collection
Belonging to The eSports 2013 Collection, BOOM drops from the eSports 2013 Case. As a group the Classified tier unboxes around 3.2% of the time (that odds figure is shared across the tier's skins), and because the case is no longer in the active drop pool, supply stays fixed — buyers pick up most copies on the market rather than from a case.
AWP | BOOM Patterns
Since the explosion graphic and its lettering land the same way on every BOOM, the finish carries no random pattern variation — nothing like a paint seed or blue gem to track down. Copies differ only by wear and float.
StatTrak & Souvenir
You can also find a StatTrak™ AWP | BOOM, which came from the eSports 2013 Case and tacks on a confirmed-kill counter; that counter is permanent, following the item through every trade or sale. There's no Souvenir variant — Souvenir weapons only come from Major-tournament souvenir packages, and this skin has never featured in one.
AWP | BOOM Price
Field-Tested is the cheapest grade of the finish — the entry-level route to the design for players who care more about the loud look than a spotless surface. If you want this comic-blast AWP for as little as possible, this is the way in. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Does the Field-Tested BOOM look beat up?
Not really. It's the most worn grade on offer, so you'll see light scratching on the edges and around the scope, but the loud explosion graphic and saturated orange base draw the eye away from it. Thanks to the low float cap the design never looks trashed — it reads clearly as BOOM at normal viewing distance.
Is Field-Tested the best value BOOM?
For most buyers, yes. It's the lowest-priced grade, and because the busy comic design and bright base disguise wear, it looks close to the pricier grades in-game. With no Well-Worn or Battle-Scarred below it, this is as budget-friendly as the finish gets, which makes it the sensible entry point.
Does BOOM hold its value?
As an old eSports 2013 Collection skin with a case that's out of the active drop pool, supply is fixed rather than growing, which supports its standing over time. It won't behave like a scarce grail, but its fixed-supply status and distinctive comic look give it steadier footing than a modern skin still being unboxed in volume.
