AWP | Corticera (Factory New)
The AWP | Corticera (Factory New) is a Classified sniper skin, its body wrapped in an ornate teal-and-turquoise floral filigree pattern. Factory New is the top grade here, showing that swirling detail at its most saturated with no surface wear to break up the linework.
Design
Corticera drapes the AWP in a dense, decorative filigree — curling teal and turquoise vines and leaf shapes that trace across the rifle like carved ironwork. It's a Valve in-house design, and the busy, symmetrical motif gives the sniper an elegant, almost heraldic feel rather than the aggressive look most AWP finishes chase.
AWP | Corticera (Factory New) Float and Wear
This finish runs a float range of 0.06–0.30. Factory New is the cleanest condition the finish reaches, and it earns the premium: the intricate vine-work stays fully legible, edges hold their color, and none of the fine detail is lost to scuffing. If you want the ornamental pattern exactly as it was drawn, this is the grade to reach for.
AWP | Corticera Rarity
Rarity: Classified — the pink tier, sitting second from the top of the standard weapon grades, just below Covert. It's a genuinely uncommon grade to pull straight from a case.
AWP | Corticera Case and Collection
Corticera belongs to The eSports 2014 Summer Collection and drops from the eSports 2014 Summer Case, released on July 10, 2014. The Classified tier as a whole comes out at roughly 3.2% (a rate shared across the tier's skins), and since this early case sits well outside the active drop pool, supply is fixed — most copies now change hands on the market rather than being unboxed.
AWP | Corticera Patterns
Corticera has no random pattern variation — the filigree is printed the same way on every copy, so there's no paint seed or blue gem to hunt down. Wear and float are the only things that set one unit apart from another.
StatTrak & Souvenir
A StatTrak™ version exists and adds a confirmed-kill counter, arriving as a rarer, pricier drop from the eSports 2014 Summer Case; the counter is permanent and stays with the item through every trade or sale. There's no Souvenir edition — Souvenir weapons come only from Major-tournament souvenir packages, and the eSports 2014 Summer Case was never a Major drop.
AWP | Corticera Price
Factory New sits at the top of this skin's own price ladder as the highest grade available — the most you'll pay for the finish, and a premium pick within the AWP lineup that still stops short of grail money. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Is Factory New worth it over Minimal Wear?
It depends how much the fine detail matters to you. Factory New keeps the filigree at its sharpest and its color deepest, with nothing lost to abrasion. But because so much of the body is busy pattern, a Minimal Wear copy reads almost the same at a glance for less — pay up only if you want the ornamental work flawless.
Which gloves go with Corticera?
Its teal-and-turquoise palette suits a cool, blue-green loadout, so teal or aqua gloves land best and echo the vine-work directly. Darker green or neutral gray wraps also work if you'd rather let the ornate pattern stay the loudest thing in the loadout. Avoid warm reds and oranges — they fight the finish.
Who designed the AWP Corticera?
Corticera is a Valve in-house design rather than a community Workshop submission. That's fitting for its era: it shipped inside the eSports 2014 Summer Case, one of the game's early cases, when a large share of finishes were still made by Valve rather than the community.
