AWP | Elite Build (Battle-Scarred)
The AWP | Elite Build (Battle-Scarred) is a Classified sniper skin built to look like machined hardware — gray-black panels and orange accents, here in its most heavily worn state. It's the cheapest way into the industrial design, trading surface condition for the lowest entry price.
Design
Even beaten up, the finish keeps its workshop-hardware identity: gray and black plating threaded with orange accent parts, so the AWP looks fabricated from components rather than flat-painted. Community designer M1nD built the look with a blend of hydrographics and stenciling, finished off with heat-transfer decals. Tucked into it is a line of lore: "Chase Turner was a great man... you have big shoes to fill."
AWP | Elite Build (Battle-Scarred) Float and Wear
At Battle-Scarred the finish wears its damage openly — heavy scratching and paint loss spread across the body, the plating worn thin in places, and the orange accents muted. The hard-edged, mechanical styling keeps the skin readable even so, and its busy detailing disguises scuffing better than a flat, single-color finish would. This is the roughest grade the skin comes in.
AWP | Elite Build Rarity
Rarity: Classified, the pink tier. It sits directly below Covert as the second-highest of the standard weapon grades, and it's a genuinely uncommon grade to unbox.
AWP | Elite Build Case and Collection
The Elite Build is part of The Wildfire Collection and is unboxed from the Operation Wildfire Case, which released alongside the Operation Wildfire update on February 17, 2016. As a whole the Classified tier drops roughly 3.2% of the time from the case (the rate is shared across the tier's skins), and because the case has left the active drop pool, supply is fixed — most copies come from the market rather than from unboxing.
AWP | Elite Build Patterns
Since the plating and orange accents are applied as hydrographics and decals, they sit identically on every Elite Build — so the finish has no random pattern variation, no paint seed or blue gem to hunt for. Wear and float are all that separate one copy from the next.
StatTrak & Souvenir
There's also a StatTrak™ AWP | Elite Build, which adds a confirmed-kill counter; it's rarer and costs more than the standard drop, and the count is permanent, staying with the item through any trade or sale. No Souvenir variant was ever produced — Souvenir weapons come only from Major-tournament souvenir packages, and the Wildfire Collection has never appeared as a Major drop.
AWP | Elite Build Price
Battle-Scarred is the cheapest grade of the skin — the entry-level way to run the industrial build for players who care more about the look than the condition. It keeps an already affordable mid-tier AWP finish about as low as it goes. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Is the Battle-Scarred Elite Build still recognizable?
Yes. Despite the heavy scuffing, the gray-black plating and orange accents keep the design clearly readable at a glance in-game. Battle-Scarred is about accepting visible wear in exchange for the lowest price, not losing the mechanical look — the busy, component-heavy styling carries even at this grade.
Why doesn't the Battle-Scarred Elite Build look completely trashed?
Because the design is so busy and hard-edged, the wear blends into all the panels, seams, and accent parts instead of standing out on a flat surface. A single-color skin shows every scratch, while the Elite Build's assembled-hardware look absorbs damage, so it stays more legible here than many lighter finishes do.
Is Battle-Scarred the cheapest Elite Build?
It is. Battle-Scarred sits at the bottom of the price ladder, below Well-Worn, making it the least expensive route to the finish. If you want the orange-accented industrial design in your loadout for as little as possible and aren't fussed about surface condition, this is the grade to grab.
