AWP | Exothermic (Field-Tested)

AWP | Exothermic (Field-Tested)

The AWP | Exothermic (Field-Tested) is a Restricted sniper skin finished in a red-colored explosive burst pattern. Field-Tested is the most common, most affordable way to own it — a touch of honest wear on a graphic that shrugs most of it off.

Design

Exothermic splashes a red explosive burst across the rifle, a fiery look that reads like a blast frozen at the moment of detonation rather than a detailed illustration. It rounds off the theme with a wink of a caption: "Cool guys don't look at explosions."

AWP | Exothermic (Field-Tested) Float and Wear

At Field-Tested the skin picks up light scratching along the edges and around the scope, but the busy red burst pulls the eye away from it, so most copies still read tidy at a glance. This is the grade most players picture when they think of the finish — the balance point between looks and price.

AWP | Exothermic Rarity

Rarity: Restricted — the purple tier, positioned above Mil-Spec and beneath Classified. It's a middle grade on the standard weapon-skin scale: rarer than the common blue skins, yet not as scarce as the pink and red tiers that outrank it.

AWP | Exothermic Case and Collection

The Harlequin Collection is home to Exothermic, which has no weapon case attached to it. Copies therefore arrive through collection drops and trade-up contracts rather than case openings — a route that keeps the pool small and pushes most trading onto the open market.

AWP | Exothermic Patterns

Exothermic carries no random pattern variation; the red burst appears the same way on every copy, leaving no paint seed or blue gem to hunt. That leaves wear and float as the only differences between one unit and another.

StatTrak & Souvenir

No StatTrak version of this finish was made. StatTrak counters exist only on skins that come out of weapon cases, and this burst isn't one of them, so there's no kill-tracking variant. A Souvenir edition is absent for a separate reason — Souvenir weapons are produced only through Major-tournament souvenir packages, and The Harlequin Collection was never part of a Major drop.

AWP | Exothermic Price

Field-Tested is the value sweet spot of the range — cheaper than the two higher grades while keeping the whole point of the skin, the bright red blast, fully intact. It's a big part of why Exothermic reads as an approachable, budget AWP rather than a wallet-buster. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.

FAQ

How worn does the Field-Tested version look?

Not very. The scratching lands on the edges and scope, but the loud red burst dominates the eye, so a Field-Tested copy reads as tidy from a normal distance. The graphic itself isn't affected by float, which means the explosion — the skin's whole draw — always comes through clearly.

Is Field-Tested the best value pick?

For most buyers, yes. It's the most common grade and the cheapest that still keeps the burst looking full, so you're paying for the design rather than for a mint surface. Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred go lower if you want the smallest possible outlay, at the cost of visibly rougher edges.

Does Exothermic hold its value?

It's a Restricted from a fixed-supply collection with no case still feeding new copies, so the pool can't balloon. That steadies it rather than making it spike — it trades as a budget AWP whose demand rests on the eye-catching explosive design more than on scarcity, which keeps its price reasonably stable over time.
