AWP | LongDog (Minimal Wear)

The AWP | LongDog (Minimal Wear) is a Covert sniper skin carrying the Train map's famous stretched dachshund graffiti over a tan and brown body, here with only the faintest signs of handling. Minimal Wear keeps the long dog artwork looking almost untouched while sitting a step below the peak Factory New price.

Design

The look comes from the LongDog graffiti found on the Train map — a wildly elongated dachshund cartoon — which Valve custom painted across the rifle in warm tan and brown shades. It's an in-house design that turns one of the map's running gags into a finish, and it carries a fitting in-game line: "The greatest dog to have ever lived is the one waiting for you at home."

AWP | LongDog (Minimal Wear) Float and Wear

At Minimal Wear the cartoon stays richly detailed, with the tan and brown tones holding strong and only trace wear along the extreme edges. It's a half-step down from the top grade that most eyes struggle to tell apart, which makes it a favorite for buyers who want near-flawless condition without paying the absolute peak of the range.

AWP | LongDog Rarity

Rarity: Covert. That's the red tier, the highest of the standard weapon rarity grades, so on the AWP the finish sits in the most exclusive slot a weapon can hold — an uncommon grade to see drop.

AWP | LongDog Case and Collection

This finish is part of The Train 2025 Collection, and it doesn't come from a purchasable weapon case. Being a Covert makes it the scarcest grade in the set — the Covert tier comes in around 0.64% (shared across the tier's skins) — and since copies only emerge from Major Train souvenir packages or trade-ups, the available supply stays capped rather than freely unboxed.

AWP | LongDog Patterns

The long dog graffiti lands identically on every copy, so this finish has no random pattern variation — nothing like a paint seed or blue-gem worth chasing. What sets copies apart is wear and float alone, aside from Souvenir versions, where applied tournament stickers can add value of their own.

StatTrak & Souvenir

A StatTrak edition doesn't exist here, because StatTrak weapons only come from cases that include a StatTrak variant and this finish never shipped in such a case. What you can find is a Souvenir version — those drop exclusively from Major-tournament souvenir packages, and with Train serving as a Major map, packages such as the Austin 2025 Train Souvenir Package can produce one.

AWP | LongDog Price

Minimal Wear sits just under Factory New on this finish's ladder, the second-highest grade and typically a small saving over the top slot while looking nearly identical. It lands in premium AWP territory — a strong pick for buyers chasing high condition at a slightly friendlier entry. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.

FAQ

Does the Minimal Wear LongDog look worn?

Barely. At this grade the only wear shows as faint scuffing right at the edges, while the body and the long dog cartoon stay vivid. To most players it reads as good as the top grade in-game, which is exactly why Minimal Wear is such a popular choice — near-top condition for less than the Factory New premium.

Why is the LongDog a Covert?

Covert is the red tier, the highest standard weapon grade, and Valve slotted the finish there as the AWP chase item of The Train 2025 Collection. That top-tier status, combined with a supply limited to Major souvenir packages and trade-ups, is a big part of why it carries a premium price.

Is Minimal Wear the best value grade?

For many buyers, yes. It costs less than Factory New but looks so similar that the difference is hard to catch in-game, and it stays cleaner than the more heavily used exteriors below it. Field-Tested and lower are cheaper still if you don't mind visible wear creeping across the frame.
