AWP | Man-o'-war (Field-Tested)
The AWP | Man-o'-war (Field-Tested) is a Covert sniper skin with a blue metallic body and hand-painted gold swirls in a warship style. Because the finish is capped at a low 0.20 float, even Field-Tested stays unusually tidy here — a more affordable route into the same ornate design.
Design
The look is pure naval ornament: swirling gold accents hand-painted over a blue metallic base coat, curling across the body like the gilding on an old sailing warship. The community artist Arbitron created it, and it ships with a fitting in-game line: "Turn some heads before you take them off."
AWP | Man-o'-war (Field-Tested) Float and Wear
At Field-Tested the finish picks up light scuffing along the edges and around the scope, but there's a catch that works in its favor — the finish is float-capped at 0.20, so even this grade never strays far into worn territory. The blue base and gold swirls stay clearly legible, which makes this the value entry point on a two-grade ladder rather than a beaten-up option.
AWP | Man-o'-war Rarity
Rarity: Covert. That's the red, top-grade tier of standard weapon skins, sitting one step above Classified — the scarcest kind of pull a case produces and among the most coveted finishes traded.
AWP | Man-o'-war Case and Collection
This finish belongs to The Chroma Collection and is unboxed from the Chroma Case, released back on January 8, 2015. As a Covert it pulls at about 0.64% from the case (that odds figure is shared across the whole Covert tier), and given the case's age, supply now circulates mainly on the market rather than through fresh openings.
AWP | Man-o'-war Patterns
There's no random pattern roll on this skin — the gold swirls land identically on each copy, so no paint seed or blue gem is worth hunting. The only things that set one example apart from the next are wear and float.
StatTrak & Souvenir
You can also find a StatTrak™ AWP | Man-o'-war, which came from the Chroma Case and tacks on a confirmed-kill counter; it's a scarcer, pricier drop, and the counter is permanent, following the item through every trade or sale. No Souvenir edition was ever made — Souvenir weapons appear only in Major-tournament souvenir packages, and The Chroma Collection has never featured as a Major drop.
AWP | Man-o'-war Price
Field-Tested is the value pick of the two grades — cheaper than Minimal Wear, while the tight float cap keeps it looking nearly as good. It's an affordable mid-tier AWP overall, a Covert finish that won't demand grail money, and quick to grab securely on Skin.Land whenever you want to add it to your loadout.
FAQ
Does the Field-Tested Man-o'-war look worn?
Less than you'd expect. Because the whole finish tops out at a 0.20 float, this grade never reaches heavy wear — you'll find only light scuffing on the edges and scope on close inspection. The blue base and gold swirls stay fully readable, so to most eyes it passes for a much cleaner grade in-game.
Is Field-Tested the best value AWP Man-o'-war?
For most buyers, yes. It costs less than Minimal Wear but looks almost the same, thanks to the unusually low float cap that keeps damage minimal. Since no Factory New or higher grade exists for this skin, Field-Tested is as budget-friendly as an affordable mid-tier Covert like this gets.
Does Man-o'-war only come in two grades?
Yes. The finish is float-floored at 0.10 and capped at 0.20, so it lands entirely within the Minimal Wear and Field-Tested bands. Factory New falls below the floor and Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred sit above the cap, which leaves just these two exteriors to choose between.
