AWP | Mortis (Well-Worn)
The AWP | Mortis (Well-Worn) is a Classified sniper rifle skin with a death-themed skull motif in muted brown, based on the Death tarot card, here in a more battle-worn state. It's a cheaper route into a moody AWP finish, with wear the dark base still partly disguises.
Design
Stripped to its core, the finish is a somber skull-and-death theme in muted brown — a design that trades bright graphics for atmosphere and shadow. Three community artists, OniLolz, Zaphk, and 2Minds, built it around the Death tarot card, and it comes with a fitting in-game line: "Every end is a new beginning."
AWP | Mortis (Well-Worn) Float and Wear
At Well-Worn the finish shows clear scuffing and paint loss across the body and edges, where the darker coat thins out. The skull artwork still holds as the anchor that keeps the skin readable, but there's no pretending this is a fresh grade. For players who care more about price than a flawless surface, it delivers the death theme for noticeably less.
AWP | Mortis Rarity
Rarity: Classified, the pink grade. It ranks just beneath Covert as the second-highest of the standard weapon tiers, and it's an uncommon skin to unbox straight from a case.
AWP | Mortis Case and Collection
The Mortis sits inside The Clutch Collection and is unboxed from the Clutch Case, released in February 2018. The Classified tier as a group drops around 3.2% of the time from the case (that odds figure is shared across the tier), and with the Clutch Case still available, there's a healthy supply — though buyers usually pick up a copy on the market instead of opening cases.
AWP | Mortis Patterns
The Mortis carries no random pattern roll: the death artwork and brown wash are placed identically on each unit, so there's no seed or "blue gem" to search for. The only things that set one copy apart from the next are its wear level and float value.
StatTrak & Souvenir
A StatTrak™ Mortis does exist and adds a confirmed-kill counter that keeps a running frag tally; it's a scarcer, costlier drop than the plain skin, and that counter is permanent — it carries over whenever the item is traded or sold. A Souvenir edition was never produced, since Souvenir weapons come only from Major-tournament packages, and the Clutch Case has never been a Major drop.
AWP | Mortis Price
Well-Worn sits near the bottom of the finish's ladder, below Field-Tested and above only Battle-Scarred — a budget route to the death motif for players who won't pay the mid-grade rate. As the finish is already an inexpensive AWP overall, this is one of the cheapest ways onto the sniper. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
How worn does the Well-Worn Mortis look?
Noticeably. Expect visible scratches and paint thinning across the body and edges — more than Field-Tested but short of the heavy battering of Battle-Scarred. The muted base and skull artwork keep it recognizable, so it still reads clearly as a Mortis in-game even with the added wear.
Is Well-Worn worth buying over Field-Tested?
Only if price is your top priority. Field-Tested looks a fair bit better for a modest step up in cost, so most buyers prefer it. Well-Worn makes sense when you want the death-themed AWP as cheaply as possible without dropping all the way down to Battle-Scarred.
What is the AWP Mortis?
It's a Classified AWP skin with a somber, death-themed skull design in muted brown, made by community artists and inspired by the Death tarot card. It came to the game with the Clutch Case in February 2018 and ranks as a budget AWP, so it's an affordable way to run a moody sniper.
