AWP | Phobos (Field-Tested)

AWP | Phobos (Field-Tested)

The AWP | Phobos (Field-Tested) is a Restricted sniper skin with an industrial, sci-fi design — dark green metal panels, radioactive-yellow accents and black-and-yellow hazard stripes. Field-Tested is the most common way to own it, adding honest wear to a busy finish that still reads clearly in-game.

Design

Phobos runs an industrial, "Blade Runner"-inspired theme built from dark green metal panels over metallic gray, with radioactive-yellow accents and black-and-yellow hazard stripes cutting across it. Warning symbols and mechanical detailing round out the laboratory, high-security look. It's the work of community artist Apel, and it comes with the in-game line "Build a better world."

AWP | Phobos (Field-Tested) Float and Wear

At Field-Tested the finish shows clear scratching along the edges, the scope housing and the raised panels, and some of the finer warning marks soften a little. Even so, the strong green base and bright hazard stripes keep the design legible, so it holds its identity well. This is the grade most players picture when they think of an affordable Phobos.

AWP | Phobos Rarity

Rarity: Restricted — the purple grade, ranked above Mil-Spec and below Classified. It sits in the middle of the standard weapon tiers and is a fairly common grade to see come out of a case.

AWP | Phobos Case and Collection

This finish sits in The Gamma Collection and is unboxed from the Gamma Case, released together with the Gamma Exposure update in June 2016. As a group the Restricted tier drops around 15.98% of the time from the case (the rate is shared across the tier's skins), and because the Gamma Case is no longer in the active drop pool, supply is fixed — the market, not unboxing, is where most copies come from now.

AWP | Phobos Patterns

Because the panels, hazard stripes and warning symbols sit the same way on every copy, Phobos has no random pattern variation — nothing like a paint seed or "blue gem" to chase. Wear and float are all that set one copy apart from the next.

StatTrak & Souvenir

You can also find a StatTrak™ Phobos, which adds a confirmed-kill counter; it's rarer and more expensive than the standard drop, and the counter is permanent, following the item through every trade or sale. There's no Souvenir variant — Souvenir weapons only come from Major-tournament packages, and the Gamma Case was a regular store case rather than a Major drop.

AWP | Phobos Price

Field-Tested is the value entry into the range — cheaper than the higher grades while keeping the design fully readable, which is a big part of why it's the go-to Phobos. As a budget AWP finish overall, it won't dent the wallet. Available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.

FAQ

How worn does the Field-Tested Phobos look?

Moderately. Expect visible scratches on the edges, scope and raised metalwork, with some of the smallest warning marks losing a little definition. It's clearly more used than Minimal Wear but well short of anything trashed — the green panels and hazard stripes stay bold, so the skin still reads as Phobos at a glance.

Is Field-Tested worth buying over Minimal Wear?

If price is the priority, yes. Field-Tested costs less and the busy finish disguises much of the extra wear, so you don't lose the look. Minimal Wear is the pick if you want the fine detailing tighter; the two aren't far apart in price, since Phobos is a budget finish either way.

Does Phobos hold its value?

As a budget skin it isn't bought for investment, but its supply is fixed now that the Gamma Case has left the drop pool. That capped stock gives it a stable floor rather than dramatic swings, so it tends to hold steady as an affordable, good-looking AWP rather than climb like a grail.
