AWP | Safari Mesh (Factory New)

AWP | Safari Mesh (Factory New)

The AWP | Safari Mesh (Factory New) is an Industrial Grade sniper rifle skin finished in a muted gray safari-style mesh camo. Factory New is the top grade it comes in, showing the stencil pattern at its most defined before any field wear creeps in.

Design

Safari Mesh wraps the AWP in a low-key gray camouflage built around a mesh-fence weave. It's a Valve design, spray-painted through mesh fencing and cardboard cutouts used as stencils, which is exactly what gives the pattern its improvised, rugged character. The skin carries a fitting in-game line: "A predator is a predator, no matter the environment."

AWP | Safari Mesh (Factory New) Float and Wear

The finish is float-capped at 0.06 on the low end, and Factory New sits right at that floor. Here the gray weave reads crisp and even, with the stencil edges sharp and no scratching or fading on the body. If you want the pattern presented at its best, this is the grade to reach for — though on a subdued camo the visual gap to lower grades is modest.

AWP | Safari Mesh Rarity

Rarity: Industrial Grade — the light-blue tier, one of the lowest rungs on the standard weapon ladder, sitting just above Consumer Grade. It's a common grade to see, which keeps the skin approachable.

AWP | Safari Mesh Case and Collection

Safari Mesh belongs to The Lake Collection, introduced with the "Out with the old, in with the new" update in November 2013. It doesn't drop from a weapon case at all — the collection is distributed through souvenir packages, first appearing in the DreamHack 2013 Souvenir Package.

AWP | Safari Mesh Patterns

There's no random pattern variation to chase here. The stencil camo lands the same way on every copy, so there's no paint seed or "blue gem" lottery — wear and float are the only things that tell one from another.

StatTrak & Souvenir

There is no StatTrak version of this AWP. StatTrak weapons come from weapon cases, and Safari Mesh has only ever surfaced in souvenir packages, so a kill-counter variant was never minted. A Souvenir edition does exist, though, and it first dropped from the DreamHack 2013 Souvenir Package.

AWP | Safari Mesh Price

Factory New sits at the top of this finish's own price ladder as the highest grade, yet the whole skin lands in affordable mid-tier territory for the AWP. Even at its best condition it stays an easy pickup rather than a big-ticket buy. It's available on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.

FAQ

Is Factory New worth paying up for on Safari Mesh?

Only a little. Factory New shows the mesh stencil at its sharpest, but this is a subdued gray camo, so the jump from Minimal Wear or even Field-Tested is subtle to most eyes. If you want the pattern presented at its peak it's a small premium; otherwise a lower grade gets you almost the same look for less.

Does Safari Mesh come in a Souvenir version?

Yes. A Souvenir AWP | Safari Mesh exists and traces back to the DreamHack 2013 Souvenir Package, part of how The Lake Collection was handed out. Souvenir copies carry tournament stickers and drop stats, which sets them apart from the standard skin.

Which gloves go with Safari Mesh?

Its gray-and-earth camo suits a natural, military loadout, so olive, khaki, or tan gloves pair well — think desert or field-camo wraps that echo the safari theme. Muted gray or brown gloves keep the understated look intact rather than fighting it.
