AWP | Snake Camo (Battle-Scarred)

AWP | Snake Camo (Battle-Scarred)

The AWP | Snake Camo (Battle-Scarred) is a Mil-Spec sniper skin wearing a gray snakeskin camo in its most heavily used condition. It's the cheapest way onto the finish, trading surface quality for the lowest entry price.

Design

Valve designed this one around snakeskin: a gray camouflage stencil spray whose patches are outlined freehand, lending the surface a hand-touched, natural quality. It's a muted, tactical finish built for players who prefer earthy camo over bright graphics.

AWP | Snake Camo (Battle-Scarred) Float and Wear

At Battle-Scarred the finish wears its damage openly — heavy scratching and fading spread across the body, with the gray camo worn thin in places. The snakeskin texture is what keeps the skin legible at this grade. Because the finish caps at a 0.80 float, it never reaches the very bottom of the wear scale, so the pattern stays identifiable even at its roughest.

AWP | Snake Camo Rarity

Grade-wise it's Mil-Spec — the blue tier, the most common rung on the standard weapon-grade ladder, and an unintimidating rarity for any collector.

AWP | Snake Camo Case and Collection

The skin comes out of The Dust Collection, one of the first collections released alongside the Arms Deal update in August 2013. Its Mil-Spec grade is the most common in the set, accounting for about 79.92% of drops — an odds figure shared among the tier's skins — and with no associated case, copies enter circulation through drops and then trade hands on the market.

AWP | Snake Camo Patterns

This finish carries no random seed: the snakeskin camo prints identically from copy to copy, so there's no blue-gem or special-pattern hunt attached to it. The only variation you'll find is in float and wear.

StatTrak & Souvenir

A StatTrak edition of this finish doesn't exist — StatTrak comes bundled with weapon cases, and Snake Camo hails from a caseless original collection, so no counter was ever attached. The same goes for Souvenir: those weapons come strictly from Major-tournament packages, and The Dust Collection has never been part of a Major.

AWP | Snake Camo Price

Battle-Scarred is the cheapest grade of the finish — the entry-level way to run the Snake Camo for players who prize the look over the condition. If you want this tactical camo AWP for as little as possible, this is the door in. Buy it on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.

FAQ

Is the Battle-Scarred Snake Camo still recognizable?

Yes. Despite heavy scratching and fading across the body, the gray snakeskin pattern stays readable at a glance in-game. Battle-Scarred is about accepting obvious wear for the lowest entry price, not losing the finish's identity altogether.

Why choose Battle-Scarred?

Price, plainly. It's the cheapest way onto the Snake Camo, ideal for players who care more about the tactical camo look than a spotless surface. The textured pattern also masks some of the damage, so the skin holds up better than many flatter finishes do at this grade.

How worn is Battle-Scarred compared to Well-Worn?

Heavier. Battle-Scarred pushes toward the top of the finish's 0.80 float cap, so scratching and fading are more pronounced than at Well-Worn, spreading across most of the body. The snakeskin texture keeps it legible, but there's no mistaking this for a lightly used grade.
