AWP | Worm God (Factory New)
The AWP | Worm God (Factory New) is a Restricted sniper skin — a pale body carrying a skull-and-roots motif picked out in cool blue and gold, with an eerie, almost deity-like sci-fi feel. Factory New is the top grade the finish comes in, so the artwork reads at its sharpest here.
Design
Worm God builds its look around a twisting skull-and-roots image, worked in blue and gold over a light base for an otherworldly, semi-mythic vibe. It's a community design by the artist enzYm, painted to look like high-durability enamel, and it ships with the fitting line: "There are some roots you don't want to take hold."
AWP | Worm God (Factory New) Float and Wear
This finish is float-capped at 0.45, so it never reaches Battle-Scarred, and Factory New is the highest grade it comes in. At this level the blue-and-gold detailing stays fully saturated and the root tendrils read razor-sharp against the pale body, with no scuffing to speak of. If you want the motif exactly as the artist intended, this is the grade to reach for.
AWP | Worm God Rarity
Rarity: Restricted — the purple tier, which sits above Mil-Spec and below Classified in the standard weapon grades. It's a mid-high grade that pulls less often than the common blues but more freely than the pink and red tiers.
AWP | Worm God Case and Collection
Worm God belongs to The Chroma 2 Collection and drops from the Chroma 2 Case, which arrived with the April 2015 update. The Restricted tier as a whole unboxes about 15.98% of the time (a rate shared across the tier's skins), and with the Chroma 2 Case long out of the active drop pool, supply is fixed — most copies now change hands on the market rather than from fresh unboxing.
AWP | Worm God Patterns
There's no random pattern variation on this finish — the skull-and-roots artwork lands the same way on every copy, so there's no paint seed or "blue gem" to hunt down. Wear and float are the only things that tell one Worm God apart from another.
StatTrak & Souvenir
A StatTrak™ AWP | Worm God exists and adds a confirmed-kill counter; it's a rarer, pricier drop than the standard skin, and the counter is permanent, carrying over when the item is traded or sold. There's no Souvenir version — Souvenir weapons come only from Major-tournament souvenir packages, and the Chroma 2 Case was a standard case drop, never a Major package.
AWP | Worm God Price
Factory New sits at the top of the Worm God ladder as the cleanest grade available, a small step above Minimal Wear. Even so, the whole finish lands in budget territory for an AWP, so the top grade stays wallet-friendly. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Is Factory New worth it over Minimal Wear?
If you want the artwork at its most legible, yes. Factory New shows the blue-and-gold root detail with zero surface wear, while Minimal Wear picks up only the faintest marks. The gap in price is modest because the whole finish is affordable, so paying up for the top grade won't cost much extra here.
Which gloves go with the Worm God?
Its blue-and-gold palette on a pale base suits a cool, slightly regal loadout. Blue gloves echo the tendrils, gold or tan wraps pick up the metallic accents, and a clean white-and-blue pair keeps the eerie, otherworldly tone intact without fighting the skull motif for attention.
Who designed the Worm God?
It's a community creation by the artist enzYm, submitted through the Steam Workshop and picked up by Valve for the Chroma 2 Case. The design leans on a skull-and-roots motif in blue and gold, giving the AWP an eerie, almost mythic look that stands apart from the rifle's more common camo and tech finishes.
