Desert Eagle | Code Red (Field-Tested)

Desert Eagle | Code Red (Field-Tested)

The Desert Eagle | Code Red (Field-Tested) is a Covert pistol skin with a bright red body and white detailing, worn to a mid-grade state. Field-Tested is the most common and most affordable-to-mid way to own the finish, with honest wear a loud base still mostly carries.

Design

At its core the skin is a vibrant red base cut with white detailing — a high-saturation, minimalist design built on bold color instead of clutter. It started as a community submission from the artist DasDas, whose flair for strong palettes gives the pistol its identity, and it ships with a fitting in-game line: "Man your stations."

Desert Eagle | Code Red (Field-Tested) Float and Wear

With float running the full 0.00–1.00, Field-Tested lands in the middle of the scale. Here the slide picks up light scratching and the red loses a touch of its peak vibrancy, but the color stays dominant and the white accents remain legible. This is the grade most players picture — the balance point between how the skin looks and what it costs.

Desert Eagle | Code Red Rarity

Rarity: Covert — the red grade, sitting at the top of the standard weapon tiers. Short of unboxing a knife, it's the rarest class of skin a case can produce.

Desert Eagle | Code Red Case and Collection

Part of The Horizon Collection, Code Red drops from the Horizon Case that arrived with the "A New Horizon" update back in August 2018. The Covert tier as a group unboxes about 0.64% of the time from the case (that odds figure is shared across the tier), so most copies reach players through the market rather than a lucky pull.

Desert Eagle | Code Red Patterns

Code Red carries no random pattern variation: the red base and white detailing are placed the same on each copy, which means there's nothing like a paint seed or "blue gem" to track down. Copies differ only by wear and float.

StatTrak & Souvenir

A StatTrak™ Desert Eagle | Code Red does exist and tacks on a confirmed-kill counter; it's a scarcer, more expensive drop from the Horizon Case than the standard skin, and that counter is permanent — it carries over whenever the item is traded or sold. A Souvenir version was never made, since Souvenir weapons come only from Major-tournament packages and the Horizon Case has never been a Major drop.

Desert Eagle | Code Red Price

Field-Tested is the value pocket of the range — under the two top grades while keeping most of the color impact, which is a big reason it moves so well. It stays a premium Deagle finish that won't drain the wallet the way Factory New can. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.

FAQ

Does the Field-Tested Code Red look worn?

A little, but the bold red carries it. Expect light scratching on the slide and a slight dip from peak vibrancy, yet the color still dominates and the white detailing stays clear. To most eyes in-game it reads as a strong, saturated Deagle rather than a beaten one.

Is Field-Tested the best value Code Red?

For many buyers, yes. It costs meaningfully less than Minimal Wear while keeping the loud red look, and it's the most common grade on the market. Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred go cheaper still if you want the lowest entry price and don't mind heavier surface wear.

Does Code Red have any pattern variation?

No. The red base and white detailing land in the same spot on every copy of the Desert Eagle | Code Red, so there's no paint seed, fade percentage, or "blue gem" pattern to hunt on this finish. Only wear and float separate one copy from the next, regardless of which grade you buy.
