Desert Eagle | Directive (Battle-Scarred)
The Desert Eagle | Directive (Battle-Scarred) is a Restricted pistol skin with a Patina finish, in its most heavily oxidized condition — the blue-and-brown panels largely swallowed by a dark patina over a black grip. It's the cheapest way into the industrial Deagle design, trading surface color for the lowest entry price.
Design
Directive keeps to an industrial theme: textured metal panels across the slide painted unevenly in blue and brown, paired with a black grip and black hardware. As a Patina finish, its color comes from a simulated oxidized-metal coat instead of a printed pattern. Designed by the community pair Millenia and Primrose, it ships with the in-game line: "Your move..."
Desert Eagle | Directive (Battle-Scarred) Float and Wear
The finish runs the full float scale, 0.06–1.00, and Battle-Scarred sits at the top end of it. Here the patina coats most of the body, darkening the whole slide so the original blue and brown only peek through in places. The panel structure stays just readable, but this is the finish at its most aged — the trade-off for the lowest price.
Desert Eagle Directive Rarity
Rarity: Restricted, the purple tier. It sits above Mil-Spec and below Classified among the standard weapon grades — a solid mid-high grade to pull from a case.
Desert Eagle Directive Case and Collection
The Directive is part of The Gamma 2 Collection and is unboxed from the Gamma 2 Case, released together on August 18, 2016. The Restricted tier drops around 15.98% of the time from the case (the rate is shared across the tier's skins), and because the Gamma 2 Case has left the active drop pool, supply is fixed — the market is where most copies come from rather than unboxing.
Desert Eagle Directive Patterns
Since the panels and their coloring land the same way on every copy, the Directive has no random pattern variation — there's no paint seed or "blue gem" to hunt. The only distinctions between copies are wear and float.
StatTrak & Souvenir
There's also a StatTrak™ Directive, which adds a confirmed-kill counter; it's rarer and pricier than the standard drop, and the counter is permanent, following the item through every trade or sale. No Souvenir version exists — Souvenir weapons are only issued through Major-tournament packages, and this finish came from the Gamma 2 Case rather than a Major event.
Desert Eagle Directive Price
Battle-Scarred is the cheapest grade of the skin — the entry-level way to run the Directive for players who care more about owning the design than surface condition. If you want the industrial Deagle look for as little as possible, this is the way in. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Is the Battle-Scarred Directive still recognizable?
Yes. Even with the patina coating most of the slide, the panel structure and darkened blue-and-brown tones keep it clearly identifiable as the Directive in-game. Battle-Scarred is about accepting a heavily oxidized surface in exchange for the lowest price, not losing the design.
Why does Battle-Scarred look so dark on this finish?
It's the nature of a Patina finish. Instead of scratches exposing bare metal, higher float spreads and deepens the oxidation, so at Battle-Scarred the coat covers most of the body and darkens it considerably. The bright blue and brown from the cleaner grades only survives in patches here.
Should I buy Battle-Scarred or spend more on a cleaner grade?
Go Battle-Scarred if the lowest price is the goal and the aged, oxidized look appeals to you. If you want the blue-and-brown panels to stay vivid, step up to Field-Tested or higher, where the patina is lighter. Both give you the same premium finish at very different price points.
