Desert Eagle | Golden Koi (Factory New)
The Desert Eagle | Golden Koi (Factory New) is a Covert pistol skin — a golden koi fish rendered over a dark slide, paired with a gilded frame in a Japanese-inspired motif. Factory New is the cleanest grade this finish comes in, showing the gold at its brightest.
Design
Golden Koi leans on a black-and-gold palette: a koi fish picked out in warm metallic gold swims across a dark slide, while the frame and barrel carry a gilded, scale-like sheen. It's a Valve design with a distinctly Japanese flavor, and it ships with a fitting in-game line: "A loud gun in every sense of the word."
Desert Eagle | Golden Koi (Factory New) Float and Wear
Float runs 0.00–0.12, so this finish tops out at Minimal Wear and never rolls into the heavier grades — even its worst copies stay mild. Factory New sits at the low end of that range, where the gold reads richest and the koi detail is fully legible with no scuffing on the slide. If you want the finish at its most vivid, this is the grade.
Desert Eagle | Golden Koi Rarity
Rarity: Covert — the red tier, the highest of the standard weapon grades. It's the top rung, and a genuinely scarce pull from a case.
Desert Eagle | Golden Koi Case and Collection
This finish belongs to The Bravo Collection and drops from the Operation Bravo Case, released alongside Operation Bravo on September 19, 2013. The Covert tier pulls at roughly 0.64% from the case (a rate shared across the tier), and with the Operation Bravo Case long out of the active drop pool, supply is fixed — most copies change hands on the market rather than being unboxed.
Desert Eagle | Golden Koi Patterns
The koi artwork lands essentially the same on every copy — there's no dramatic paint-seed lottery or "blue gem" equivalent to chase here. What separates one Deagle from another is really just its wear and float.
StatTrak & Souvenir
A StatTrak™ Desert Eagle | Golden Koi exists and adds a confirmed-kill counter; it comes from the Operation Bravo Case as a rarer, pricier drop than the plain skin, and the counter is permanent, carrying over when the item is traded or sold. There's no Souvenir version — Souvenir weapons come only from Major-tournament souvenir packages, and this finish's case was never a Major drop.
Desert Eagle | Golden Koi Price
Factory New sits at the top of the finish's short price ladder — a step above Minimal Wear and a premium pick within the Desert Eagle lineup, though it stops short of the very highest grail money. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Is Factory New worth it over Minimal Wear?
If you want the gold at its most saturated and the koi at its sharpest, yes — Factory New is the highest grade and looks the part. That said, Minimal Wear is close enough that many buyers save the difference. Pay up for the top condition, or drop a grade for better value.
Why does the Golden Koi only come in two grades?
The finish is float-capped at 0.12. Field-Tested needs a float above 0.15 and the rougher grades higher still, so those conditions simply can't roll here — only Factory New and Minimal Wear exist, and even Minimal Wear stays fairly clean.
Which gloves go with the Golden Koi?
Its black-and-gold palette suits a warm, luxe loadout, so black or tan-and-gold gloves work best — a dark pair keeps the slide's contrast, while gold-accented wraps echo the koi. It anchors a striking Japanese-themed pistol setup nicely.
