Desert Eagle | Heat Treated (Battle-Scarred)
The Desert Eagle | Heat Treated (Battle-Scarred) is a Classified pistol skin in its most heavily worn state, its color case-hardened blues, purples, and golds sitting under obvious battle damage. It's the cheapest way into the metallic finish, trading surface condition for the lowest entry price.
Design
A Valve creation, Heat Treated is built on a "Case Hardening" style finish — the steel color case-hardened by wood charcoal at high temperature into a mottle of blue, violet, and warm gold. It skips graphics in favor of the weapon's own metallic texture, and it carries the in-game line "A little color never hurt anyone."
Desert Eagle | Heat Treated (Battle-Scarred) Float and Wear
This finish spans the full float scale up to 1.00, and Battle-Scarred lives at the top of that range — the roughest the skin gets. Heavy scratching and paint loss cover the slide, and the metal is dulled and scuffed throughout. Because the float isn't capped below 1.0, this grade does reach the extreme worn end, unlike finishes that stop short. The case-hardened colors still keep the design readable underneath the damage.
Desert Eagle | Heat Treated Rarity
Rarity: Classified — the pink grade. It sits directly below Covert as the second-highest of the standard weapon tiers, and it stays an uncommon grade to own.
Desert Eagle | Heat Treated Case and Collection
No active case or collection drop carries this finish, so it isn't unboxable from anything current — the market handles it instead. With supply locked rather than fed by openings, copies come from listings.
Desert Eagle | Heat Treated Patterns
No two copies share the same tint, since color case-hardening stains each Deagle at random — the blue, purple, and gold fall in different proportions every time. That makes the paint seed the thing to watch: strongly blue copies are the prized ones, while warmer, more coppery seeds turn up more often.
StatTrak & Souvenir
You won't find a StatTrak edition of this finish. StatTrak drops are seeded into weapon cases, and with Heat Treated outside any active case drop, that variant was never produced. A Souvenir edition is likewise absent — Souvenir weapons only come from Major-tournament packages, and this finish has never been part of a Major drop.
Desert Eagle | Heat Treated Price
Battle-Scarred is the cheapest grade of the finish — the entry-level way to run the case-hardened Deagle for players who care more about the look than the condition. It's about as low as this affordable mid-tier skin goes. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Is the Battle-Scarred version still recognizable?
Yes. Even with heavy scratching and dulled metal across the slide, the color case-hardened blues, purples, and golds keep the design readable at a glance in-game. Battle-Scarred is about accepting visible wear for the lowest price, not losing the finish's character.
How worn can Battle-Scarred get?
Quite worn. This finish runs the full float range to 1.00, so its Battle-Scarred copies reach the extreme end of the wear scale — expect the most scratching and paint loss of any grade. If you want the case-hardened look but don't mind heavy damage, this is the cheapest route in.
Can a Battle-Scarred copy still be blue?
It can. Color comes from the paint seed and wear comes from the float, and the two are independent, so a heavily blue-tinted copy can exist even at Battle-Scarred. You'd get the coveted blue tones layered under the grade's heavy scuffing, usually for the lowest price on the ladder.
