Desert Eagle | Heat Treated (Factory New)

Desert Eagle | Heat Treated (Factory New)

The Desert Eagle | Heat Treated (Factory New) is a Classified pistol skin with a color case-hardened, metallic finish that shifts through blues, purples, and coppery golds. Factory New is the cleanest grade the finish comes in, showing the heat-tinted metal at its sharpest.

Design

Made by Valve, Heat Treated wears a "Case Hardening" style finish: the slide has been color case-hardened by applying wood charcoal at high temperature, which stains the steel in mottled blues, violets, and warm gold tones. It leans on the raw metallic texture of the weapon rather than printed graphics, and it ships with the in-game line: "A little color never hurt anyone."

Desert Eagle | Heat Treated (Factory New) Float and Wear

This finish runs the full float scale, 0.00–1.00, so every grade from Factory New down to Battle-Scarred exists. Factory New sits at the very top of that range, where the case-hardened coloring is at its most vivid and the metal reads without any scuffing. If you want the heat tints as saturated and legible as the skin allows, this is the grade to reach for.

Desert Eagle | Heat Treated Rarity

Rarity: Classified — the pink tier, second from the top of the standard weapon grades and sitting just under Covert. It's a genuinely uncommon grade to own.

Desert Eagle | Heat Treated Case and Collection

This finish isn't tied to an active case or collection drop, so it isn't something you unbox today — copies circulate on the market instead. That fixed supply is why buyers pick it up from listings rather than from opening containers.

Desert Eagle | Heat Treated Patterns

Because the color case-hardening is a chemical staining process, no two copies tint exactly alike — the spread of blue, purple, and gold shifts from one Deagle to the next. That makes the paint seed worth a look: some copies lean heavily blue, which collectors prize, while others come out warmer and more coppery.

StatTrak & Souvenir

There's no StatTrak version of this finish. StatTrak weapons are seeded into weapon cases, and since Heat Treated isn't part of an active case drop, no kill-counter variant was ever produced. There's no Souvenir version either — Souvenir weapons come only from Major-tournament souvenir packages, and this finish was never part of a Major drop.

Desert Eagle | Heat Treated Price

Factory New sits at the top of this finish's price ladder as the highest grade available, a clear step above Minimal Wear. Even so, the skin lands in affordable mid-tier territory for the Desert Eagle rather than grail money. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.

FAQ

Why is Factory New the most expensive grade?

Because it's the highest condition on the ladder. At Factory New the case-hardened tints show at full saturation with no surface scuffing, which is exactly what most collectors want from a metallic finish like this. Lower grades cost less but let visible wear creep across the slide.

Do Factory New copies vary in color?

Yes. The heat-treated staining is randomized per copy, so even at Factory New one Deagle might come out mostly blue while another leans gold and copper. Grade controls how worn the metal looks; the paint seed controls how the colors land, and the two are independent.

Which gloves suit the Heat Treated Deagle?

The finish blends cool blues with warm coppers, so it plays both ways. A blue-heavy copy pairs well with blue or steel-toned gloves to echo the tint, while a warmer, gold-leaning copy suits tan or brown wraps. Neutral black gloves work with either and keep the metal itself the centerpiece.
