Desert Eagle | Mint Fan (Field-Tested)

Desert Eagle | Mint Fan (Field-Tested)

The Desert Eagle | Mint Fan (Field-Tested) is a Mil-Spec pistol skin pairing a mint-green base with a brown halftone fan pattern, here with a moderate dose of wear. It's the most common and most affordable way to run the finish.

Design

At heart the look is a mint-green base carrying brown, fan-shaped illustrations in halftone, sprayed on through stencils, with the grip and ejection port kept a plain brown. Valve designed it, and it ships with a light-hearted in-game line: "Let's clear the air."

Desert Eagle | Mint Fan (Field-Tested) Float and Wear

Field-Tested lands in the middle of the 0.00–0.60 float band, and here the wear starts to tell. The mint base loses paint along the slide edges and high points, letting patches of bare metal peek through, though the brown fans across the flats stay readable. It's the grade most buyers picture as the everyday, no-fuss version of the finish.

Desert Eagle | Mint Fan Rarity

Rarity: Mil-Spec Grade — the blue, entry-level tier of the standard weapon grades. As the most common class to drop, it's an easy grade to come by, and that abundance keeps the finish cheap.

Desert Eagle | Mint Fan Case and Collection

The finish comes from The Ascent Collection, released as part of the Spring Forward update in March 2025. It fills the Mil-Spec position at the base of the collection, and with that tier accounting for about 79.92% of drops, copies are abundant and simple to pick up on the open market.

Desert Eagle | Mint Fan Patterns

Mint Fan is a spray-paint finish, so the paint seed governs where its fan illustrations sit rather than fixing them in place. There's no coveted seed to chase, yet placement varies between copies — the top and right of the slide are the most visible in play, so it's worth seeing how much of the fan spread lands there.

StatTrak & Souvenir

This finish has no StatTrak edition — the kill-tracking counter is attached to case-based drops, and Mint Fan doesn't circulate through cases. Nor is there a Souvenir version, as Souvenir weapons originate solely from Major-tournament souvenir packages, and The Ascent Collection has never appeared at a Major event.

Desert Eagle | Mint Fan Price

Field-Tested sits in the lower-middle of the finish's price ladder, below the two cleanest grades but above the most worn. Given the whole finish is a budget pick for a Desert Eagle, this grade is about as cheap as a still-legible copy gets. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.

FAQ

How worn does Field-Tested look?

Moderately. Because the base is a light mint, the paint loss along edges and high points is more obvious than it would be on a dark skin, and small patches of metal show through. The brown fans on the flat surfaces stay clear, though, so the design remains easy to recognize in a match.

Is Field-Tested good value?

Yes, if budget leads the decision. It's cheaper than Minimal Wear and still shows the fan pattern plainly, making it the popular everyday grade. Just remember the light base wears more visibly than a dark finish would, so pay attention to the float within the Field-Tested range.

Does float position matter within Field-Tested?

It does. A lower Field-Tested float keeps more of the mint base intact, while a higher one shows more bare metal along the edges. Since a light color reveals wear readily, nudging toward the cleaner end of the range noticeably improves how the skin looks.
