Desert Eagle | Sputnik (Battle-Scarred)
The Desert Eagle | Sputnik (Battle-Scarred) is a Mil-Spec Grade pistol skin — a blue, space-themed design of stars and satellites in its most heavily worn condition. It's the cheapest way into the finish, trading a darker, scuffed surface for the lowest entry price.
Design
Sputnik keeps a blue base under a spray-paint finish, scattering an abstract field of stars and satellites across the pistol — a tribute to the Soviet Sputnik satellite it's named for. It comes with a themed in-game inscription: "Send and receive."
Desert Eagle | Sputnik (Battle-Scarred) Float and Wear
At Battle-Scarred the finish wears its damage openly — abrasions cover the body and the blue base darkens toward its deepest shade. The stars and satellites survive as the detail that keeps the skin identifiable. Crucially, the float is capped at 0.50, so even this bottom grade never reaches the most extreme wear a full-1.0 skin would show; the design stays legible at its roughest.
Desert Eagle | Sputnik Rarity
Rarity: Mil-Spec Grade — the blue tier, sitting at the entry level of the standard weapon grades. It's the most common class to pull, which keeps the skin approachable no matter the grade.
Desert Eagle | Sputnik Case and Collection
This finish is drawn from The 2021 Train Collection, which launched with Operation Riptide in September 2021. Being Mil-Spec, it's the most common grade in the collection and appears far more often than the higher tiers — and since the operation has ended, the market supplies essentially all copies today.
Desert Eagle | Sputnik Patterns
Because the blue base, stars, and satellites are laid out the same on every Sputnik, the finish has no random pattern variation — nothing like a paint seed or "blue gem" to seek out. The only things that tell copies apart are wear and float.
StatTrak & Souvenir
There's no StatTrak edition of this skin: the kill-counter version is created only for finishes released through a weapon case, whereas this one belongs to a collection, so none was ever produced. A Souvenir version is missing too, since Souvenir weapons originate purely from Major-tournament packages and the 2021 Train Collection has never been distributed as a Major package.
Desert Eagle | Sputnik Price
Battle-Scarred is the cheapest grade of the skin — the entry-level way to run the Sputnik design for players who value the look over surface condition. As an already affordable mid-tier Deagle, it's about as low-cost as this finish gets. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Is the Battle-Scarred Sputnik still recognizable?
Yes. Despite the spread of abrasions and the darkened base, the stars and satellites keep the design readable at a glance in-game. Battle-Scarred is about accepting heavier wear for the lowest price, and the float cap stops the skin from looking completely trashed the way an uncapped finish might.
Why doesn't the Battle-Scarred Sputnik look fully destroyed?
Because the finish is float-capped at 0.50 instead of the full 1.0. Its worst copies stop short of the most extreme darkening and scuffing, so the blue base and space motif remain visible. That cap makes even the bottom grade more legible than a lighter, uncapped skin at the same label.
Which gloves match the Sputnik?
Its blue, space-themed base leans cool, so blue or blue-accented gloves tie the loadout together and pick up the color. Neutral gray or black wraps are a safe alternative if you'd prefer the pattern to stay the loudest piece in the setup rather than competing with the gloves.
