Desert Eagle | Sputnik (Well-Worn)
The Desert Eagle | Sputnik (Well-Worn) is a Mil-Spec Grade pistol skin — a blue, space-themed finish of stars and satellites in a rougher, darker state. It's a cheaper route into the design, with wear that dims the base but leaves the motif recognizable.
Design
At its core Sputnik is a blue base treated with a spray-paint finish, filled with an abstract space scene of stars and satellites that references the Soviet Sputnik satellite behind the name. The in-game line ties into the theme: "Send and receive."
Desert Eagle | Sputnik (Well-Worn) Float and Wear
At Well-Worn the abrasions grow more numerous and the blue base noticeably darkens, pushing high up the 0.00–0.50 float range. The stars and satellites still come through as the anchoring detail, but there's no mistaking this for a fresh grade. Because the finish is float-capped at 0.50, even this worn condition never hits the extreme darkening a full-scale skin would — handy for buyers who care more about price than a bright surface.
Desert Eagle | Sputnik Rarity
Rarity: Mil-Spec Grade, the blue tier — the base of the standard weapon grades and the most common class to unbox. That commonness is part of why the skin stays affordable across every grade.
Desert Eagle | Sputnik Case and Collection
Part of The 2021 Train Collection, this finish debuted with Operation Riptide in September 2021. Mil-Spec is the collection's most common grade, so the blue tier shows up much more readily than the rarer grades above — and with the operation over, the market is where nearly all copies come from now.
Desert Eagle | Sputnik Patterns
There's no random pattern on Sputnik — the blue field and its stars and satellites are printed identically on every copy, so no paint seed or "blue gem" exists to hunt for. Wear and float are all that separate one copy from the next.
StatTrak & Souvenir
A StatTrak Sputnik doesn't exist, because StatTrak copies are only generated for finishes handed out through a weapon case, and this skin arrives via a collection instead. Nor is there a Souvenir variant — Souvenir weapons are minted solely from Major-tournament packages, and the 2021 Train Collection has never been offered as one.
Desert Eagle | Sputnik Price
Well-Worn sits near the bottom of the Sputnik ladder, below Field-Tested and above only Battle-Scarred — a budget path to the design for players who won't pay the mid-grade premium. As an affordable mid-tier Deagle to begin with, it's one of the cheaper ways to get the space theme into a loadout. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
How rough does the Well-Worn Sputnik look?
Fairly rough. The blue base darkens and the scuffing spreads well beyond what the artwork carries at lower floats, so it clearly reads as a worn grade. Still, the stars and satellites remain visible, and the 0.50 float cap keeps it from ever looking as beaten as a lighter, uncapped skin would.
Is Well-Worn worth buying over Field-Tested?
Mainly if price is your priority. Field-Tested keeps a brighter base and reads noticeably better for a modest step up in cost, so most buyers lean that way. Well-Worn makes sense when you want the Sputnik design as cheaply as possible without dropping all the way to Battle-Scarred.
What is the float cap on the Sputnik?
The finish tops out at 0.50 rather than the full 1.0. That means the worst-case wear is milder than an uncapped skin's — Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred copies never reach the most extreme darkening, so the blue base and space motif stay readable even at the roughest grades available.
