FAMAS | Styx (Field-Tested)
The FAMAS | Styx (Field-Tested) is a Restricted rifle skin with a chromed base under a semi-transparent hydrographic overlay of nuclear skulls and bones. Field-Tested shows a touch of honest wear while keeping that dramatic pattern easy to read.
Design
The finish pairs a chromed body with a semi-transparent hydrographic layer of skulls and bones, built around a nuclear theme. It's a Valve-made design with no accompanying flavor quote.
FAMAS | Styx (Field-Tested) Float and Wear
Float on this finish is capped between 0.00 and 0.60, and Field-Tested falls in the middle of that band. Some light scuffing shows up along the edges at this grade, but the chrome base and the skull-and-bones overlay both remain clearly visible.
FAMAS | Styx Rarity
The Styx carries a Restricted rating — the purple tier below Classified and Covert, and a genuinely uncommon grade to come across.
FAMAS | Styx Case and Collection
It's part of The Cache Collection, which launched in July 2014 with no weapon case attached to it. Its recurring presence in Major-tournament souvenir packages has helped keep it a recognizable, in-demand finish over the years.
FAMAS | Styx Patterns
The chrome-and-overlay design doesn't vary by seed — every copy shows the same skull-and-bones pattern in the same place, so there's no rare version worth searching for. Only the wear grade changes.
StatTrak & Souvenir
A regular version and a Souvenir version both exist for this finish, though no StatTrak edition has ever been produced. The Souvenir line began with the ESL One Cologne 2014 Cache Souvenir Package, and further Major tournaments have added their own souvenir packages since then.
FAMAS | Styx Price
Field-Tested sits in the middle of the price ladder, cheaper than Minimal Wear and Factory New while keeping the skull-and-bones design clearly visible. It's still a high-end, grail-tier finish overall given its rarity and history. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Does Field-Tested hide the skull-and-bones pattern?
Not much. Some light wear appears at the edges, but the chrome shine and skull-and-bones overlay stay clearly readable at typical in-game distances, making this a solid balance between cost and appearance.
Is Field-Tested the cheapest way to own the Styx?
Not quite — Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred both cost less. Field-Tested lands closer to the middle, offering good visibility of the design without paying for the cleanest grades.
What's the difference between the regular and Souvenir Styx?
Both look identical — the difference is purely the Souvenir tag, which comes from Major-tournament packages rather than regular play. The first was handed out at ESL One Cologne 2014, with more added at later Majors.
