Five-SeveN | Dark Polymer (Factory New)
The Five-SeveN | Dark Polymer (Factory New) is a Mil-Spec pistol finish that gives the frame a glassy, transparent-purple polymer look. Factory New is the cleanest grade it comes in, showing that candy-shell shine at its brightest.
Design
Dark Polymer paints the Five-SeveN's frame to look like it's been cast from transparent purple polymer, letting light pass through the plastic-like shell. It's a community design by Strenson, and the flavor text calls it "wrapped in a purple candy shell" — a fitting description for the glossy, see-through finish.
Five-SeveN | Dark Polymer (Factory New) Float and Wear
The finish runs the full float range, 0.00–1.00, and Factory New sits right at the bottom of it. At this level the purple polymer reads at its clearest and glossiest, with no scuffing to break up the see-through effect — the shell looks exactly as intended.
Five-SeveN | Dark Polymer Rarity
Rarity: Mil-Spec Grade — the blue tier, the most common grade among standard weapon finishes. It's an easy pull from its container.
Five-SeveN | Dark Polymer Case and Collection
Dark Polymer belongs to The Dead Hand Collection, added with the Dead Hand update in March 2026. It drops from the Sealed Dead Hand Terminal, and as a Mil-Spec finish it comes out at roughly 79.92% — the rate shared across the whole common tier — making it one of the easiest pulls from that container.
Five-SeveN | Dark Polymer Patterns
This is a fixed design — the paint-seed index doesn't change how the Dark Polymer looks, so every copy carries the same transparent purple effect. There's no pattern or blue-gem seed worth hunting; wear and float are the only variables.
StatTrak & Souvenir
This finish exists as a regular version only — there's no StatTrak™ counter to add and no Souvenir version either. Souvenir weapons come exclusively from Major-tournament packages, and the Dead Hand Collection has never been offered as one.
Five-SeveN | Dark Polymer Price
Factory New sits at the top of the Dark Polymer's price ladder, though the finish as a whole prices as a budget option. It's an inexpensive way to add that translucent purple look at the best available condition. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Is Factory New worth it on a budget Mil-Spec finish?
Since the whole finish is inexpensive, paying up for Factory New is an easy way to get the sharpest version of the purple polymer look without spending much at all. If price matters more than condition, Minimal Wear or Field-Tested get you nearly the same effect for less.
Does the Dark Polymer have a Factory New version?
Yes — the finish spans the full 0.00–1.00 float range, so Factory New exists alongside every other grade down to Battle-Scarred. That gives buyers the widest possible spread of condition and price to choose from.
What does the Dark Polymer finish actually look like?
It gives the Five-SeveN's frame a see-through, candy-shell appearance, like the plastic itself has been dyed purple. The in-game flavor text calls it "wrapped in a purple candy shell," which sums up the glossy, semi-transparent effect well.
