Glock-18 | Bunsen Burner (Factory New)
The Glock-18 | Bunsen Burner takes a blue patina finish and polishes sections of it away right off the slide, leaving a graphic flame pattern burning across the metal. On a Factory New copy that flame design shows at its sharpest, with the polished-away sections reading brightest against the surrounding patina.
Design
Valve's own description of the finish is straightforward: a blue patina has been polished off parts of the slide to form a graphic flame design. It's a community design credited to PTP, and the concept leans into an industrial, almost workshop-torch look rather than anything painted on top.
Glock-18 | Bunsen Burner (Factory New) Float and Wear
Float on this finish runs from 0 up to 0.8, and a Factory New roll sits at the very bottom of that range. That means the polished flame sections stay crisp and well-defined against the surrounding patina, with none of the added grime that creeps in as float climbs.
Glock-18 | Bunsen Burner Rarity
This is a Mil-Spec Grade finish, putting it in the most common rarity band the Falchion Case can produce.
Glock-18 | Bunsen Burner Case and Collection
The Bunsen Burner belongs to The Falchion Collection, which debuted alongside the Falchion Case during Operation Bloodhound in May 2015. As a Mil-Spec drop from that case, it lands in the tier that unboxes roughly four times out of five.
Glock-18 | Bunsen Burner Patterns
There's no rare "blue gem" style tier chasing on this finish, but don't mistake that for uniformity — the patina texture itself varies by paint seed, so some copies show a noticeably cleaner, more even burn pattern than others even at the same float. Seed hunting is still very much a thing here.
StatTrak & Souvenir
This finish exists as a regular finish and a StatTrak version, both pulled from the Falchion Case. There's no Souvenir version, since Souvenir weapons are only ever handed out in Major-tournament packages, and the Bunsen Burner has never been part of one.
Glock-18 | Bunsen Burner Price
Sitting toward the top of what this Mil-Spec finish commands, Factory New is the priciest way to grab it, but the whole line stays in affordable mid-tier territory overall. Check Skin.Land's current Glock-18 listings for exact stock on this grade.
FAQ
What does the Glock-18 Bunsen Burner actually look like?
Per Valve's description, a blue patina has been polished off parts of the slide, leaving a graphic flame design burning across the metal. It's a subdued, industrial-looking finish rather than a bright paint job — the flame reads through contrast and texture more than color.
Is Factory New worth it over a lower grade?
If you want the flame pattern at its sharpest with minimal added wear texture, yes — Factory New sits at the clean end of a 0 to 0.8 float range. Anyone less picky about surface wear can save some money by stepping down a grade or two.
Does every Bunsen Burner look the same at Factory New?
No. Even within the same wear grade, the patina texture varies by paint seed, so some Factory New copies show a cleaner, more defined flame burn than others. There's no dedicated rare-pattern tier, but seed does matter to collectors comparing copies.
