M4A1-S | Boreal Forest (Field-Tested)

M4A1-S | Boreal Forest (Field-Tested)

The M4A1-S | Boreal Forest (Field-Tested) is an Industrial Grade rifle skin covering the silenced M4 in a gray-and-green forest camouflage. Field-Tested is the most common, most affordable way to run the finish — a bit of honest wear on a camo that carries it well, for a low entry price.

Design

The design comes from Valve and aims for a calm, woodland aesthetic: gray and green hues rendered as a forest camouflage hydrographic that works forest motifs into the M4A1-S body. Its in-game line suits the mood — "The woods can be a dangerous place... never travel alone."

M4A1-S | Boreal Forest (Field-Tested) Float and Wear

The finish covers a 0.06 to 0.80 float range, and Field-Tested occupies the busy middle of it. Here the camo picks up light scratching along the edges and on the receiver, but the mottled gray-green pattern absorbs that wear rather than showing it off, so the skin still reads well from a distance. This is the grade most players actually run.

M4A1-S | Boreal Forest Rarity

Rarity: Industrial Grade — the light-blue grade, ranked near the low end of the standard weapon tiers, just above Consumer. That makes it a common and readily available skin.

M4A1-S | Boreal Forest Case and Collection

Belonging to The Italy Collection, the Boreal Forest launched alongside the "Out with the old, in with the new" update in November 2013. It was distributed through souvenir packages rather than a weapon case — the DreamHack 2013 Souvenir Package and later the EMS One 2014 Souvenir Package — so buyers pick up most copies on the market now.

M4A1-S | Boreal Forest Patterns

There's nothing to chase pattern-wise on this finish: the forest camouflage hydrographic sits the same on each copy, so no paint seed or "blue gem" exists to track down. Only wear and float distinguish one copy from the next.

StatTrak & Souvenir

You won't find a StatTrak Boreal Forest. StatTrak variants are generated only within weapon cases, and this finish came out through souvenir packages instead, so no confirmed-kill counter was ever attached. A Souvenir version does exist, though — it first showed up in the DreamHack 2013 Souvenir Package, complete with event stickers and a gold nameplate.

M4A1-S | Boreal Forest Price

Field-Tested is the value heart of the range — cheaper than the cleaner grades while keeping the look intact, and the most plentiful on the market. As a budget M4A1-S to begin with, it's one of the cheapest routes onto the silenced M4. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.

FAQ

How worn does the Field-Tested Boreal Forest look?

Lightly. You'll see some scratching on the edges and the receiver up close, but the busy gray-green camo hides that wear well, so at playing distance the skin still looks intact. It's the grade that balances a natural, lived-in look against the lowest common price point.

Is Field-Tested the best value Boreal Forest?

For pure cost-per-look, yes. It's markedly cheaper than Minimal Wear and Factory New yet the camo pattern disguises its wear, and it's the most common grade to find. Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred go lower still if you want the absolute floor and don't mind heavier scuffing.

Which gloves go with the Boreal Forest?

Its woodland gray-and-green palette pairs naturally with an earthy, military loadout, so olive, forest-green or tan gloves fit best. Reach for a green or camo pair to lean into the forest theme, or neutral gray wraps to keep the whole build low-key.
