M4A1-S | Boreal Forest (Well-Worn)
The M4A1-S | Boreal Forest (Well-Worn) is an Industrial Grade rifle skin, the silenced M4 in a gray-and-green forest camouflage worn down to a rougher state. It's a cheaper way onto the finish, with wear the mottled camo still partly disguises.
Design
At heart the Boreal Forest is a Valve design built around a woodland mood — gray and green tones printed as a forest camouflage hydrographic that threads forest motifs through the M4A1-S. Its in-game line matches: "The woods can be a dangerous place... never travel alone."
M4A1-S | Boreal Forest (Well-Worn) Float and Wear
The finish runs from 0.06 up toward its 0.80 ceiling, and Well-Worn sits high in that range. At this grade scuffing and paint loss show clearly across the receiver and edges, though the broken gray-green pattern keeps things from looking outright ruined. Because the skin's float is capped at 0.80 — see Battle-Scarred — even the worn end stays milder than a full-scale skin.
M4A1-S | Boreal Forest Rarity
Rarity: Industrial Grade, the light-blue tier — positioned toward the bottom of the standard grades, a single step above Consumer. It's a common grade that keeps the skin easy to obtain.
M4A1-S | Boreal Forest Case and Collection
The Boreal Forest is one of The Italy Collection skins, brought in by the "Out with the old, in with the new" update in November 2013. Its route to players was through souvenir packages instead of a weapon case — starting with the DreamHack 2013 Souvenir Package and continuing with the EMS One 2014 Souvenir Package — so the market supplies most copies today.
M4A1-S | Boreal Forest Patterns
This finish carries no random pattern roll — the forest camouflage hydrographic is placed identically on every copy, so there's no paint seed or "blue gem" worth hunting. What separates copies is simply their wear and float.
StatTrak & Souvenir
No StatTrak edition of the Boreal Forest was ever produced, because StatTrak only comes from weapon cases and this skin dropped through souvenir packages, never a case. The Souvenir edition, on the other hand, is real — it debuted in the DreamHack 2013 Souvenir Package and wears the tournament stickers and gold nameplate that identify souvenir drops.
M4A1-S | Boreal Forest Price
Well-Worn sits near the bottom of the price ladder, under Field-Tested and above only Battle-Scarred — a budget path to the finish for players who won't pay the cleaner-grade rates. On an already budget-tier M4A1-S, it's about as cheap as the skin gets short of the worst grade. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
How rough does the Well-Worn Boreal Forest look?
Fairly rough. Scuffing and paint thinning are visible on the receiver and around the edges — more than Field-Tested but short of Battle-Scarred's heaviest battering. The camo pattern keeps the skin recognizable, so it still reads as the Boreal Forest in-game despite the added wear.
Is Well-Worn worth buying over Field-Tested?
Mainly if price is your only concern. Field-Tested looks a fair bit tidier for a modest step up in cost, so most buyers land there. Well-Worn makes sense when you want the finish as cheaply as possible without dropping all the way to Battle-Scarred.
Which gloves go with the Boreal Forest?
The gray-and-green woodland look suits an earthy, military loadout, so olive, forest-green or tan gloves are the natural match. A camo or green pair reinforces the forest theme, while neutral gray wraps keep the build muted if that's more your style.
