M4A1-S | Chantico's Fire (Battle-Scarred)
The M4A1-S | Chantico's Fire (Battle-Scarred) is a Covert rifle skin with a fiery, hand-painted red-and-yellow finish and a smiley face on the stock, in its most heavily worn condition. It's the cheapest way into a bold M4A1-S design, trading surface polish for the lowest entry price.
Design
Minimal it isn't — Valve's finish is a fiery, artistic blend of red and yellow hues and Chantico fire motifs on a modern frame. It's hand painted in vibrant colors and accentuated by a smiley face on the stock, and it ships with the in-game line "Protect what is yours."
M4A1-S | Chantico's Fire (Battle-Scarred) Float and Wear
Battle-Scarred is the top of the finish's float range, which is capped at 0.99 rather than the full 1.0 — so even here the skin stops just short of the absolute worst wear on the scale. Damage still shows openly: heavy scuffing and paint loss across the body, with the fiery artwork thinned in places. The dense pattern and stock smiley keep it readable at its roughest.
M4A1-S | Chantico's Fire Rarity
Rarity: Covert, the red tier. It stands at the top of the standard weapon grades, and it's a genuinely scarce grade to unbox.
M4A1-S | Chantico's Fire Case and Collection
This finish sits in The Chroma 3 Collection and is unboxed from the Chroma 3 Case, released together with the Trichromacy update on April 27, 2016. As a group the Covert tier drops around 0.64% of the time from the case, so unboxing is rare and the market — not the case — is where most copies come from.
M4A1-S | Chantico's Fire Patterns
Because the fiery design and the smiley sit the same way on every copy, the finish has no random pattern variation — nothing like a paint seed or "blue gem" to hunt for. Only wear and float separate one copy from another.
StatTrak & Souvenir
You can also find a StatTrak™ edition from the Chroma 3 Case, which adds a confirmed-kill counter; it's rarer and pricier than the standard drop, and the counter is permanent, following the item through every trade or sale. There's no Souvenir variant — Souvenir weapons are minted only from Major-tournament packages, and this finish never featured as one.
M4A1-S | Chantico's Fire Price
Battle-Scarred is the cheapest grade of the skin — the entry-level way to run the fiery design for players who value the look over the condition. If you want this red-and-yellow M4A1-S for as little as possible, this is the way in. Available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Is the Battle-Scarred copy still recognizable?
Yes. Despite heavy scuffing and paint loss, the dense red-and-yellow fire artwork and the smiley on the stock keep the design clearly readable at a glance in-game. Battle-Scarred is about accepting visible wear for the lowest price, not losing the look entirely.
Why doesn't the Battle-Scarred copy look completely trashed?
Because the finish is float-capped at 0.99 — just short of the full 1.0 — its worst copies never quite reach the extreme end of the wear scale. Combined with a busy pattern that camouflages damage, the design stays more legible here than many single-color skins do.
Which gloves pair with this skin?
Its warm red-and-yellow palette suits fire-toned gloves — red, orange, or crimson wraps play off the flames, while tan pairs keep the heat theme without clashing. Round out the loadout with other warm-colored gear for a unified fiery setup.
