The M4A1-S | Decimator (Battle-Scarred) is a Classified rifle skin with a futuristic blue, purple, and pink finish, in its most heavily worn condition. It's the cheapest way into this sci-fi M4A1-S, trading surface condition for the lowest entry price.

Design

The Decimator keeps a bold sci-fi identity: blue, purple, and pink hues blended across the rifle for a retrofuturistic feel. Designed by the community artist Coridium, custom painted with radical blue and pink highlights, it ships with a fitting in-game line: "Quiet retrofuturism."

M4A1-S | Decimator (Battle-Scarred) Float and Wear

At Battle-Scarred the finish wears its damage openly — heavy scuffing and paint loss spread across the body, dulling the gradient in places. This grade is capped at 0.85 rather than the full 1.0, so it never reaches the most extreme end of the float scale, and the blue-to-pink core keeps the design legible even at its roughest. It's the grade for players who value the look over a pristine surface.

M4A1-S | Decimator Rarity

Rarity: Classified, the pink tier. It sits directly below Covert as the second-highest of the standard weapon grades, and it's a genuinely uncommon grade to unbox.

M4A1-S | Decimator Case and Collection

The Decimator is part of The Spectrum Collection and comes from the Spectrum Case, which launched with the "Take a trip to the Canals" update in March 2017. The Classified tier drops about 3.2% of the time from the case (the rate is shared across the tier's skins), and the market — not fresh unboxing — is where most copies come from these days.

The Decimator has no random pattern roll — the color gradient and sci-fi motifs sit identically on every copy, so there's no paint seed or "blue gem" to chase. The only differences between copies come down to wear and float.

Is the Battle-Scarred Decimator still recognizable?

Yes. Despite the heavy scuffing, the blue, purple, and pink gradient stays readable at a glance in-game. Battle-Scarred is about accepting visible wear in exchange for the lowest price, not losing the sci-fi look entirely — the color scheme still identifies it clearly.

Why doesn't the Battle-Scarred Decimator look completely trashed?

Because the finish is float-capped at 0.85 rather than the full 1.0, its Battle-Scarred copies never reach the most extreme wear. There's real damage across the body, but the ceiling keeps the gradient more legible here than on many skins that run to a true 1.0 float.
