M4A1-S | Mud-Spec (Well-Worn)

M4A1-S | Mud-Spec (Well-Worn)

The M4A1-S | Mud-Spec (Well-Worn) is an Industrial Grade rifle skin in a black-brown camo with a mud-splatter texture, here in a rougher, more distressed state. It's a cheaper way into the finish, with wear the muted palette still partly absorbs.

Design

Mud-Spec keeps it earthy and rugged: a black-and-brown camouflage marked by a mottled mud-splatter texture, a weathered field look with no bright graphics to speak of. It's the work of community artist SayChains, and it carries a fitting in-game line: "Backup has arrived."

M4A1-S | Mud-Spec (Well-Worn) Float and Wear

Well-Worn runs roughly float 0.38–0.45, where heavier scuffing and edge wear show up along the front and high-contact areas, leaving the camo looking patchier and more distressed. The dark tones still stop it from looking outright ruined, and given the mud-and-grime theme, the extra grit sits comfortably with the design.

M4A1-S | Mud-Spec Rarity

Rarity: Industrial Grade — the light-blue tier ranked near the bottom of the standard weapon grades. Being a common drop is exactly why the finish stays so cheap to pick up.

M4A1-S | Mud-Spec Case and Collection

Part of The Anubis Collection, Mud-Spec was introduced with the Anubis Collection update in April 2023. Since the collection is attached to the Anubis map rather than a purchasable case, players get most copies through the collection's drops and the market rather than by opening a case.

M4A1-S | Mud-Spec Patterns

There's no random pattern to roll on this finish: the camo weave and mud-splatter texture are fixed identically across every copy, so no paint seed or "blue gem" exists to hunt. Copies differ only by their wear and float.

StatTrak & Souvenir

You won't find a StatTrak Mud-Spec — StatTrak versions are minted only within weapon cases, and this finish drops from a map collection instead of a case, so none was ever created. A Souvenir version does exist, launched in the Paris 2023 Anubis Souvenir Package, because Souvenir weapons are produced solely through Major-tournament packages.

M4A1-S | Mud-Spec Price

Well-Worn sits near the bottom of the Mud-Spec ladder, below Field-Tested and above only Battle-Scarred — a budget route to the camo for players who don't mind visible grit. On an already inexpensive finish, it's one of the cheapest ways in. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.

FAQ

How rough does the Well-Worn Mud-Spec look?

Fairly distressed. Expect patchy scuffing and edge wear across the front and high-contact zones, more than Field-Tested but short of the heavy fading of Battle-Scarred. The dark, muddy palette keeps it looking intentional rather than trashed, so it still reads as Mud-Spec in-game.

Is Well-Worn worth it over Field-Tested?

Only if squeezing the price down matters most to you. Field-Tested looks tidier for a small step up in cost, so many buyers prefer it. Well-Worn earns its keep when you want the camo as cheaply as possible without going all the way to Battle-Scarred.

Does the wear ruin the camo pattern?

No. The pattern stays recognizable even with the added scuffing — the darker base disguises a lot of the damage, and the mud-splatter theme means grit looks at home on the finish. You lose some crispness at the edges, but the overall look holds together.
