M4A1-S | Nitro (Factory New)
The M4A1-S | Nitro (Factory New) is a Restricted-grade rifle skin — its parts spray-painted black and tangerine orange for a racing-inspired look. Factory New is the top grade, showing the paint at full punch before any handling marks appear.
Design
Nitro is a Valve design built on a motorsport theme, with individual parts coated in black and tangerine orange for a bold, high-energy feel. It even carries a bit of in-game character — a line credited to Commanding Officer Felix Riley: "Rona is as good as she thinks she is... she's just not old enough to realize she shouldn't point it out to everyone."
M4A1-S | Nitro (Factory New) Float and Wear
This finish spans a float range of 0.06–0.80, and here's the quirk: the floor sits at 0.06 while Factory New needs a float under 0.07, so the top grade lives in a narrow band and the flawless copies are genuinely on the scarcer side. At this level the orange stays vivid and the black holds deep, with no scuffing to speak of. It's the grade to reach for if you want the design at full saturation.
M4A1-S | Nitro Rarity
Rarity: Restricted — the purple tier, sitting one step above Mil-Spec and one below Classified. It's a solid mid-high grade to see turn up.
M4A1-S | Nitro Case and Collection
The Nitro belongs to The Safehouse Collection, introduced on November 27, 2013 with the "Out with the old, in with the new" update. It reached players through Souvenir packages — the DreamHack 2013 and EMS One 2014 packages — rather than a standard weapon case, and the Restricted tier drops at roughly 15.98% (a rate shared across the tier's skins). With those packages long retired, supply is fixed to the secondary market.
M4A1-S | Nitro Patterns
There's no random pattern roll on the Nitro — the black-and-orange spray job lands the same way on every copy, so there's no paint seed or blue-gem to chase. Float is the only thing that separates one example from the next.
StatTrak & Souvenir
No StatTrak version of the Nitro exists — StatTrak weapons are minted only inside weapon cases, and this finish was distributed through a collection and its Souvenir packages, never a StatTrak-bearing case. A Souvenir variant does exist, produced from Major-tournament souvenir packages such as the DreamHack 2013 Souvenir Package.
M4A1-S | Nitro Price
Factory New sits at the top of the Nitro's own price ladder, a clear step above Minimal Wear. Across the wider M4A1-S lineup the skin lands as an affordable mid-tier pick, so even its best grade stays friendly on the wallet. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Why are Factory New Nitro copies harder to find?
Because the finish is float-floored at 0.06 and Factory New requires a float below 0.07, the whole grade lives in a sliver of the scale. That thin window means fewer copies roll into Factory New than on a skin that floors at 0.00, so the top grade shows up less often on the market.
Which gloves suit the Nitro?
Its black-and-orange, racing-flavored palette calls for a warm loadout, so orange, tan, or brown gloves pick up the tangerine tone nicely, while black wraps lean into the darker half of the finish. A warm-hued pair ties the whole setup together and echoes the skin's motorsport vibe.
Is there a StatTrak Nitro?
No. StatTrak versions are created only inside weapon cases, and the Nitro came out of The Safehouse Collection through Souvenir packages instead. That means there's no kill-counter version — but a Souvenir edition does exist for collectors who want the tournament stamp.
