M4A1-S | VariCamo (Factory New)

M4A1-S | VariCamo (Factory New)

The M4A1-S | VariCamo (Factory New) is a Mil-Spec grade rifle skin — a gray, camouflage-patterned coat wrapped over the silenced M4A1-S. Factory New is the top grade the finish comes in, showing the vari-camo motif at its most even and legible.

Design

Designed by Valve, VariCamo leans on a tactical, understated look: a gray finish built from overlapping camouflage shapes. It has been painted using a VariCamo patterned hydrographic, which keeps the motif consistent across the body, and it carries a fitting in-game line: "Rebuilding only comes in the wake of destruction."

M4A1-S | VariCamo (Factory New) Float and Wear

Float on this finish runs 0.00–0.60, and Factory New sits at the very bottom of that range. At this grade the camo pattern reads sharp with no scuffing, and the gray tones stay fully saturated across the receiver and stock. If you want the motif as spotless as the skin gets, this is the grade to reach for.

M4A1-S | VariCamo Rarity

Rarity: Mil-Spec Grade — the blue tier, the entry rank among the standard colored weapon grades. It's the most common tier, which keeps this a very accessible finish to own.

M4A1-S | VariCamo Case and Collection

This finish belongs to The Dust 2 Collection, introduced with the "Out with the old, in with the new" update in November 2013. Within a Dust II souvenir package the Mil-Spec tier pulls at roughly 79.92% (a rate shared across the tier's skins), so it's easily the most likely grade to appear from one of those packages.

M4A1-S | VariCamo Patterns

There's no random pattern roll on VariCamo — the camouflage motif lands the same way on every copy, so there's no paint seed or "blue gem" to hunt for. The only things that separate one from another are wear and float.

StatTrak & Souvenir

No StatTrak version exists: StatTrak weapons come from weapon cases that drop with a StatTrak-enabled roll, and this finish was never distributed that way. A Souvenir version does exist, though — Souvenir weapons are handed out through Major-tournament souvenir packages, and VariCamo first appeared in the DreamHack 2013 Souvenir Package, later returning through many Dust II packages.

M4A1-S | VariCamo Price

Factory New sits at the top of the VariCamo ladder as the highest grade available, a clear step above Minimal Wear. Even so, this is an affordable mid-tier M4A1-S rather than a grail — a great-looking tactical skin without the premium price. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.

FAQ

Is Factory New worth it over Minimal Wear?

If you want the camo pattern as pristine as possible, yes — Factory New shows the gray tones at full saturation with zero visible scuffing. That said, VariCamo's busy motif hides light wear well, so a Minimal Wear copy looks close for less. Pay up only if flawless condition matters to you.

Which gloves go with VariCamo?

Its neutral gray, camouflage base pairs with almost anything, but muted, military-flavored wraps look best — gray, olive, or tan gloves keep the tactical theme intact. Avoid loud neon pairings, which fight the understated finish rather than complement it.

Does VariCamo have a random pattern?

No. The camouflage motif is fixed and prints identically on every copy, so there's no paint seed, no rare alignment, and no "blue gem" to chase. Two Factory New copies differ only by float, and at this grade they all look effectively the same.
