M4A4 | Buzz Kill (Battle-Scarred)

M4A4 | Buzz Kill (Battle-Scarred)

The M4A4 | Buzz Kill (Battle-Scarred) is a Covert rifle skin featuring a "Sektor Industry" robotic insect in industrial yellow and green-black trim, in its most heavily worn condition. It's the cheapest way into this high-end Covert, trading surface condition for the lowest entry price.

Design

Buzz Kill turns the M4A4 into "Sektor Industry" hardware: a robotic insect graphic laid over the receiver in loud industrial yellow, with black and green accents adding a hazard-striped, machine-shop character. The community artist DasDas designed it, and it carries a fitting in-game line: "There's one at every party."

M4A4 | Buzz Kill (Battle-Scarred) Float and Wear

At Battle-Scarred the finish wears its damage openly — heavy scratching and paint loss spread across the body, and the yellow is worn thin in places where the metal shows through. The robotic-insect graphic survives as the anchor that keeps the skin readable. This finish is capped at 0.70, so it never hits the extreme end of the float scale, and the busy design stays legible even at its roughest.

M4A4 | Buzz Kill Rarity

Rarity: Covert — the red tier, the highest of the standard weapon grades and one step up from Classified. It's the scarcest rung before knives and gloves, which makes any Covert M4A4 a genuinely uncommon grade to unbox.

M4A4 | Buzz Kill Case and Collection

The Buzz Kill belongs to The Glove Collection and is unboxed from the Glove Case, released together with the Glove Case update on November 28, 2016. As a group the Covert tier drops around 0.64% of the time from the case (the rate is shared across the tier's skins), so it's a rare pull — and with the case supply already fixed, the market rather than unboxing is where most copies come from.

M4A4 | Buzz Kill Patterns

Since the mechanical insect graphic falls the same way on every Buzz Kill, the finish has no random pattern variation — nothing like a paint seed or "blue gem" to hunt for. Only wear and float separate one copy from another.

StatTrak & Souvenir

There's also a StatTrak™ M4A4 | Buzz Kill, which adds a confirmed-kill counter; it's rarer and pricier than the standard drop, and the counter is permanent, following the item through every trade or sale. No Souvenir variant exists — Souvenir weapons are produced only from Major-tournament packages, and the Glove Case has never been a Major drop.

M4A4 | Buzz Kill Price

Battle-Scarred is the cheapest grade of this finish — the entry-level way to run a high-end, grail-tier Covert for players who value the design over the condition. If you want the "Sektor Industry" insect on your M4A4 for as little as possible, this is the way in. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.

FAQ

Is the Battle-Scarred Buzz Kill still recognizable?

Yes. Despite the heavy scuffing, the bright yellow base and the robotic-insect graphic keep the design clearly readable at a glance in-game. Battle-Scarred is about accepting obvious wear in exchange for the lowest price on a pricey Covert, not losing the "Sektor Industry" look altogether.

Why doesn't the Battle-Scarred Buzz Kill look completely trashed?

Because the finish is float-capped at 0.70 rather than the full scale, its Battle-Scarred copies never reach the most extreme wear. Paired with a dense, busy graphic that breaks up the damage, the design stays more legible here than many simpler skins manage at the same grade.

Which gloves go with the Buzz Kill?

Its industrial yellow-and-black palette suits a bold, high-visibility loadout, so yellow, black, or hazard-toned gloves work best — a yellow or black-and-yellow pair plays off the insect artwork, while dark wraps let the loud finish stand out. Warm, industrial tones pull the loadout together around the skin.
