M4A4 | Daybreak (Minimal Wear)

The M4A4 | Daybreak (Minimal Wear) is a Restricted rifle skin finished with a sunrise motif in warm orange-yellow metallic paints. Minimal Wear keeps the dawn artwork almost untouched while stepping just below the Factory New price.

Design

The look comes from a sun-god theme: warm orange-yellow metallic paints spread a sunrise across the rifle, glowing like early light instead of a loud pattern. Valve designed it in-house rather than sourcing it from the community, and it ships with a fitting line: "The sun rises on the just and unjust alike."

M4A4 | Daybreak (Minimal Wear) Float and Wear

At Minimal Wear the metallic paints hold their glow and the sunrise motif stays richly defined, with only the faintest handling marks along the extreme edges. It's a half-step down from Factory New that most eyes can't separate at a glance, which makes it a favorite for buyers who want near-top condition without paying the very peak of the range.

M4A4 | Daybreak Rarity

Rarity: Restricted, the purple tier. It ranks above the blue Mil-Spec grade and one rung below Classified, placing it in the middle of the standard weapon grades — a step up in scarcity from the more common skins that share its source.

M4A4 | Daybreak Case and Collection

Part of The Rising Sun Collection, this M4A4 arrived with Operation Bloodhound in May 2015. There's no weapon case behind the collection, so copies surface through trade-up contracts or the open market instead of being unboxed — the route by which most owners pick the finish up.

M4A4 | Daybreak Patterns

The sunrise artwork carries no random pattern roll — it lands identically on every copy, so there's no paint seed or "blue gem" to track down. Copies differ only by wear and float, with no rare seed adding value on top.

StatTrak & Souvenir

No StatTrak variant was ever made — StatTrak weapons originate from cases that include a StatTrak version, and this finish never appeared in one. A Souvenir version doesn't exist either, since Souvenir weapons issue only from Major-tournament souvenir packages, and The Rising Sun Collection has never featured in one.

M4A4 | Daybreak Price

Minimal Wear sits just below Factory New near the top of the range — a slight saving over the highest grade for a look that's nearly identical, and a high-end M4A4 finish either way. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.

FAQ

How much wear shows at Minimal Wear?

Very little. Expect only trace scuffing at the edges and rails, nothing that reaches the artwork across the body. The metallic paints keep their glow and the sunrise motif stays crisp, so a Minimal Wear copy reads as near-flawless at any normal viewing distance in-game and easily passes for a higher grade.

Is Minimal Wear the smart value pick?

For most buyers, yes. It looks all but the same as Factory New while costing a touch less, so you get top-tier appearance without paying for the single best float. That said, Daybreak is a premium finish across the board, so even Minimal Wear carries weight; the worn grades below drop the entry price further if you don't mind more wear.

Does the Daybreak come from a case?

No. It's part of The Rising Sun Collection, which has no weapon case attached, so you won't unbox one. Instead, copies come from trade-up contracts that output collection skins, or simply by buying on the market — which is where most Daybreak owners get theirs.
