M4A4 | Evil Daimyo (Battle-Scarred)

M4A4 | Evil Daimyo (Battle-Scarred)

The M4A4 | Evil Daimyo (Battle-Scarred) is a Restricted rifle skin carrying oni-mask and samurai artwork in red, black, and gold, in its most heavily worn condition. It's the cheapest way into the warlord design, trading surface condition for the lowest entry price.

Design

Evil Daimyo dresses the rifle in a warlord aesthetic: an oni mask and samurai-daimyo detailing in red, black, and gold. The design is the work of community artist The Honey Badger, and it carries a narrative in-game line — "Carmen. I found him..." — taken from The Oni and The Valkyrie Part 1.

M4A4 | Evil Daimyo (Battle-Scarred) Float and Wear

At Battle-Scarred the finish wears its damage openly — heavy scratching and paint loss spread across the body, and the gold and red tones are worn thin in places. The oni artwork survives as the anchor that keeps the skin readable. The finish is float-capped at 0.52, so even at this grade it never reaches the most extreme end of the wear scale.

M4A4 | Evil Daimyo Rarity

Rarity: Restricted — the purple grade that slots above Mil-Spec and below Classified. It's a moderately common tier, easier to land than the pink and red grades above it but scarcer than the blue Mil-Spec skins.

M4A4 | Evil Daimyo Case and Collection

The Falchion Case — released with Operation Bloodhound in May 2015 — is where this M4A4 finish drops, as part of The Falchion Collection. The Restricted grade accounts for about 16% of pulls as a whole (shared across the tier), while the ★ Falchion Knife is the case's grand prize. Now that the case has left the active drop pool, its supply is set and the market is the main source.

M4A4 | Evil Daimyo Patterns

Because the artwork is printed identically on every copy, the finish has no random pattern variation — no seed, no blue gem to look for. The only differences between copies come down to wear and float.

StatTrak & Souvenir

There's a StatTrak™ edition as well, tacking on a confirmed-kill counter; it's rarer and pricier than the standard drop, and its counter is permanent, carried over through any trade or sale. No Souvenir version was produced — Souvenir weapons are handed out only through Major-tournament souvenir packages, and this finish instead comes from the Falchion Case.

M4A4 | Evil Daimyo Price

Battle-Scarred is the cheapest grade of the skin, the entry-level way to run the daimyo design for players who value the look over the condition. Given that Evil Daimyo is an affordable mid-tier M4A4 anyway, this grade puts the samurai theme within almost any budget. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.

FAQ

Is the Battle-Scarred still recognizable?

Yes. Despite the heavy scuffing, the red-and-black base and oni-mask motif keep the design clearly readable at a glance in-game. Battle-Scarred is about accepting obvious wear in exchange for the lowest price, not losing the samurai look altogether.

Why doesn't the Battle-Scarred look completely destroyed?

Because the finish is float-capped at 0.52 rather than the full 1.0, its Battle-Scarred copies never hit the most extreme wear. Paired with a dark, busy base that disguises damage, the artwork stays more legible here than it would on a lighter-colored skin.

Is Battle-Scarred a good pickup?

It's the best choice when budget is the deciding factor. You get the full samurai-warlord design for the lowest price in the range, and the dark artwork hides much of the wear. If you can stretch a little, Field-Tested looks cleaner, but Battle-Scarred is the value floor for this finish.
