M4A4 | Evil Daimyo (Factory New)
The M4A4 | Evil Daimyo (Factory New) is a Restricted rifle skin themed on a Japanese warlord, with an oni mask and samurai detailing in dark red, black, and gold. Factory New is the cleanest grade it comes in, showing the artwork at its most vivid and saturated.
Design
Evil Daimyo wraps the M4A4 in a dark red-and-black palette lifted by gold detailing, all built around a feudal-Japan theme — an oni mask and samurai-daimyo motifs run across the receiver and body. It's a community design by the Steam Workshop artist The Honey Badger, and it carries a story-driven in-game line: "Carmen. I found him..." from The Oni and The Valkyrie Part 1.
M4A4 | Evil Daimyo (Factory New) Float and Wear
The finish rolls from a float floor of 0, so Factory New is on the table and it's the top condition available. At this grade there's no visible scuffing anywhere — the red-and-black artwork reads at full saturation and the gold accents stay bright. If you want the daimyo design exactly as the artist intended, this is the grade to reach for.
M4A4 | Evil Daimyo Rarity
Rarity: Restricted — the purple tier, one step above Mil-Spec and one below Classified among the standard weapon grades. It's a mid-table grade that turns up more often than the top tiers but still counts as a notable pull from a case.
M4A4 | Evil Daimyo Case and Collection
The M4A4 | Evil Daimyo belongs to The Falchion Collection and drops from the Falchion Case, which launched with Operation Bloodhound in May 2015. The Restricted tier as a whole comes out of the case around 16% of the time (a rate shared across the tier's skins), while the case's chase item is the ★ Falchion Knife. With the Falchion Case no longer in the active drop pool, supply is fixed — most copies now change hands on the market.
M4A4 | Evil Daimyo Patterns
Evil Daimyo has no random pattern variation — the red-and-black artwork and its oni-mask detailing land the same way on every copy, so there's no paint seed or blue gem to chase. Wear and float are the only things that tell one from another.
StatTrak & Souvenir
A StatTrak™ M4A4 | Evil Daimyo exists and adds a confirmed-kill counter; it's a scarcer, pricier drop than the standard skin, and the counter is permanent, carrying over when the item is traded or sold. There's no Souvenir version — Souvenir weapons come only from Major-tournament souvenir packages, and this finish drops from the Falchion Case, which was never a Major package.
M4A4 | Evil Daimyo Price
Factory New sits at the top of this skin's price ladder as the cleanest grade, a clear step above Minimal Wear. Even so, the finish is an affordable mid-tier M4A4 rather than a high-end one, so the top condition stays reasonable. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Is Factory New worth it over Minimal Wear?
It's the only grade with zero visible wear, so the artwork and gold accents show at their sharpest, and it's the most collectible condition. That said, the dark base hides light wear reasonably well, so a Minimal Wear copy looks close for less. Pay the premium only if you specifically want the top grade on the shelf.
Which gloves go with Evil Daimyo?
Its red, black, and gold palette calls for a dark, warm-toned loadout, so red or crimson gloves echo the samurai artwork while black or gold-flecked wraps keep the feudal-Japan mood without clashing. Pairing the rifle with other red-and-black pieces ties a whole warlord-themed loadout together.
Who created the Evil Daimyo?
It's a community design by the Steam Workshop artist The Honey Badger, not an in-house Valve finish. The samurai-warlord and oni-mask theme reflects that creator's feudal-Japan styling, and Valve picked it for the Falchion Case when the collection arrived in 2015.
