M4A4 | Polysoup (Field-Tested)

M4A4 | Polysoup (Field-Tested)

The M4A4 | Polysoup (Field-Tested) is a Restricted rifle skin with a colorful low-poly design of faceted polygons wrapping the frame. Field-Tested is the most common, best-value way to own it, adding a touch of honest wear to a design that stays lively regardless.

Design

At its core the finish turns the M4A4 into low-poly art — a body split into faceted polygons that cycle through several bright colors, finished with a light pearlescent shimmer. It's a Valve in-house creation that favors bold geometry over realism, and it comes stamped with a playful line: "Don't stew on it."

M4A4 | Polysoup (Field-Tested) Float and Wear

At Field-Tested the finish picks up light scratching along the edges and raised panels, but the busy multicolor geometry disguises it well, so most copies still read vivid at a glance. This is the grade the majority of players own — the sweet spot where the design looks great and the price is easy on the wallet.

M4A4 | Polysoup Rarity

Rarity sits at Restricted — the purple grade, which lands above Mil-Spec and just beneath Classified on the standard scale. As one of the more frequently seen tiers, it keeps this M4A4 widely available rather than hard to track down.

M4A4 | Polysoup Case and Collection

Part of The Graphic Design Collection, Polysoup isn't tied to any weapon case. Copies come into the game through standard drops and trade-up contracts instead of case openings, so buying one on the market is the usual way to add it to a loadout.

M4A4 | Polysoup Patterns

Every Polysoup shares the same fixed polygon layout, so the finish has no random pattern variation — nothing like a paint seed or a "blue gem" to seek out. Copies differ from one another only in how much wear they carry and where their float falls.

StatTrak & Souvenir

There's no StatTrak Polysoup. StatTrak weapons only originate inside weapon cases, and this finish doesn't belong to one, so a kill-tracking version was never produced. Souvenir is out as well, since Souvenir copies drop exclusively from Major-tournament packages and The Graphic Design Collection has never been part of a Major. Only the standard skin exists.

M4A4 | Polysoup Price

Field-Tested is the value heart of the range — cheaper than the higher grades while keeping nearly all of the design's color and character, which is a big reason it's the most popular way to buy the skin. It sits firmly in affordable mid-tier ground for the M4A4. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.

FAQ

Does the Field-Tested Polysoup look worn?

Only mildly. Field-Tested adds light scratches to the edges and high points, but the dense multicolor geometry hides them so well that the rifle still looks bright and detailed in-game. Unless you're inspecting it up close, it reads much like a higher grade — which is exactly why this exterior is such a common pick.

Is Field-Tested the best value Polysoup?

For most buyers, yes. It costs less than Minimal Wear and Factory New yet keeps almost the same look thanks to the wear-hiding design, and it's the easiest exterior to find on the market. Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred are cheaper still if you want the lowest entry price and don't mind more visible scuffing.

Is Polysoup a good first M4A4 skin?

It's a strong starter. The finish is colorful and distinctive without the price tag of premium M4A4 skins, so it makes an easy, budget-friendly upgrade over the default. As a common Restricted grade it's simple to buy at Field-Tested and slots into just about any loadout.
