MP9 | Rose Iron (Field-Tested)

MP9 | Rose Iron (Field-Tested)

The MP9 | Rose Iron (Field-Tested) shows the finish's hand-painted rose-and-thorn artwork with a moderate, visible level of wear. It's the roughest grade this Restricted finish comes in.

Design

Rose Iron's look comes from a hand-painted rose-and-thorn motif rendered in metallic paints of varied colors across the MP9. Community artist Jason designed the finish, which carries the flavor text "Beware its many thorns," playing into the sharp, floral aesthetic.

MP9 | Rose Iron (Field-Tested) Float and Wear

Field-Tested sits at the upper end of Rose Iron's 0.00–0.30 float range, and since that range never climbs into heavier wear tiers, this is both the roughest and the highest-float grade available. Expect some visible scuffing across the metallic paintwork, though the rose motif stays easy to identify.

MP9 | Rose Iron Rarity

The finish carries Restricted rarity, one step below Classified on the standard scale — an uncommon grade relative to the more plentiful lower tiers.

MP9 | Rose Iron Case and Collection

Rose Iron is tied to The Winter Offensive Collection and its matching Winter Offensive Weapon Case, both from December 2013. The Restricted tier drops from that case at roughly 15.98%, and with the case no longer active, market purchases are now the typical route to a copy.

MP9 | Rose Iron Patterns

There's no random pattern element on Rose Iron — the hand-painted rose motif sits the same way on every copy regardless of paint seed, so nothing rare is hiding here. Wear and float remain the only real differences.

StatTrak & Souvenir

A StatTrak edition of Rose Iron exists, carrying a permanent confirmed-kill counter across trades and sales. No Souvenir edition has ever been made, since Souvenir status is limited to Major-tournament packages that this finish was never part of.

MP9 | Rose Iron Price

Field-Tested is the lowest-priced grade on the Rose Iron ladder, offering a cheaper way into this otherwise premium finish. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.

FAQ

Why doesn't the MP9 | Rose Iron have a Well-Worn or Battle-Scarred version?

The finish's float is capped between 0.00 and 0.30, and Field-Tested is the highest wear grade that range allows — so there's no Well-Worn or Battle-Scarred copy in existence, making Field-Tested the roughest available.

Is Field-Tested a good value for Rose Iron?

Yes, it's the cheapest grade of an otherwise premium-priced Restricted finish, and the rose-and-thorn artwork remains clearly readable despite the added wear. It's a practical choice if budget matters more than surface polish.

Does the Field-Tested Rose Iron have a StatTrak version?

Yes, StatTrak copies exist across all of Rose Iron's wear grades, including Field-Tested, adding a permanent kill counter. There's still no Souvenir version at any wear, since the finish was never part of a Major-tournament package.
