P2000 | Chainmail (Factory New)
The P2000 | Chainmail (Factory New) is a Mil-Spec pistol skin with a semi-transparent chainmail hydrographic laid over a silver base coat. Factory New is the top grade for it, showing off that metallic weave pattern at its most defined.
Design
Valve built this one, wrapping the P2000 in a see-through chainmail hydrographic over a silver base, giving the whole gun a cool, armor-like sheen rather than a flat paint job. It carries an in-universe line tying it to Naomi, described as Valeria's most loyal bodyguard among The Phoenix.
P2000 | Chainmail (Factory New) Float and Wear
Float on the Chainmail runs from 0.00 up to a 0.22 cap, so even the roughest copy stays well short of the wear a full 0.00–1.00 skin would show. At Factory New the silver base gleams and the chainmail overlay shows crisp, tight detail with no visible scuffing at all.
P2000 | Chainmail Rarity
Rarity: Mil-Spec Grade, the blue tier — a common step up from base-level weapon skins, though still a genuine drop rather than a default finish.
P2000 | Chainmail Case and Collection
This finish belongs to The Cobblestone Collection, which debuted with Operation Breakout in July 2014. It also has a Souvenir history: the first Souvenir copies came out of the ESL One Cologne 2014 Cobblestone Souvenir Package, with later Major souvenir packages adding more copies to the pool over the years since.
P2000 | Chainmail Patterns
The chainmail weave and silver base are fixed on every copy — there's no paint seed rolling a different pattern, so no "blue gem" variant to search for here. Float is what separates one Chainmail from the next, not the artwork itself.
StatTrak & Souvenir
There's no StatTrak™ version of this finish — it simply wasn't produced with a kill counter. It does exist as both a regular finish and a Souvenir edition, the Souvenir copies coming from Major-tournament packages starting with ESL One Cologne 2014, plus several later Majors that issued their own Cobblestone souvenir drops.
P2000 | Chainmail Price
Factory New sits at the top of the Chainmail's price ladder, commanding the highest price among its wears thanks to the sharpest look the metallic pattern gets. It's a premium pick within the P2000 lineup. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Why does the Chainmail stop at Field-Tested?
Its float is capped at 0.22, well below the 1.00 ceiling most skins use, so the game never generates a copy worn enough to qualify as Well-Worn or Battle-Scarred. Field-Tested is as rough as this finish gets.
Is Factory New a big upgrade over Minimal Wear here?
It's a modest one. Since the whole float range is already narrow, the visual gap between Factory New and Minimal Wear is smaller than on skins with a full 0.00–1.00 spread, though Factory New still shows the crispest version of the chainmail pattern.
Can I get a Souvenir Chainmail?
Yes. Souvenir copies started with the ESL One Cologne 2014 Cobblestone Souvenir Package and continued through several later Major tournaments, each issuing its own souvenir drops for the collection. There's no StatTrak version, though, regular or Souvenir.
